I have seen nothing to this point that would make me believe that this game will be anything but a bad loss, of the blowout variety.

OSU was embarrassed last year at home.

I think it's a case of the national media all fell in love with the Huskers this past offseason. They miss us and want us back in the conversation. A lot of the national press was picking Nebraska to win the Big Ten West and even a dark horse for the BCS playoffs.

I get the reasons for optimism (schedule the main one) but the team was 4-8 last year. Yes, they finished great and that's a reason to be optimistic, but from 4-8 to challenging for the BigTen championship seemed too high of expectations to me. I hated that Nebraska was such a media darling in the pre-season.

I think we will get back to that level of competition but it's not going to happen overnight. Let's just hope they continue to show improvements over last year and get back to a winning record and a bowl game. It's pretty sad that I wish our defense hit as hard as Illinois.

For this game though it would be a huge win in the spotlight, but I fear the chances are much greater they get blown out.

Please prove me wrong Huskers!!!

I’ve actually changed my thoughts on this already. I think about it and honestly Frost has been beat down really only once as a head coach at Nebraska and that was on the road last year at Michigan with literally a brand new team.

I don’t think we’re in for another embarrassing loss on the big stage. I doubt we’re going to win because quite honestly we don’t match up position for position, but I actually do think we’re gonna beat the spread.

this is about the position i'm at right now. spread keeps getting bigger so that helps. If we can keep the turnovers to 0, i think we can keep it close. our D really struggles in the quick change scenario of a turnover, Ill scored after every one. so prevent those, i like our Ds chances a lot more.
