Again, if you idiots can put your laziness and ignorance to the side, you can do a little homework by going through the Miami Heat instagram account where a picture of practice was posted and CB was quoted saying “ The practices have always been good. It’s just when we get in the game is when it changes.”

This is the ultimate sign of admitting and recognizing that its on the players - as always, CB, the real leader of our team along with UD, saying all the right things - now all they have to do is EXECUTE on the court. Execution is the problem, and this quote is the perfect example of that. When this team can improve on that - they will do some damage because thats the ONLY thing wrong for now

Wrong, wrong and wrong. Even Ira says that Spolestra needs to be able to get this team with this talent into the playoffs in the East. In practice, the players execute because generally they are 5 on 5 and there is not a bonehead coach making the wrong substitutions and not giving the right people minutes. The facts are the facts, this team has been grossly outscored in the 3rd quarter which is a quarter that comes right after halftime adjustments. That my friends is on the coaching. Also, if the team is not performing at a high level, then the coach is not properly motivating them. At this level, very little the coaching staff can do other than motivate, call the right plays, make the right halftime adjustments, and make the proper substitutions.

Obviously, the biggest adjustment from this team needs to come from the coaching staff. They need to motivate and make the right adjustments!!

Wrong, wrong and wrong. Even Ira says that Spolestra needs to be able to get this team with this talent into the playoffs in the East.

There is this thing common sense, you obviously lack greatly. Do you realize that Ira, like any other writer that covers the Heat, or any sport or any subject for the media is entitled to their own opinion just like every other breathing soul in our country?

They get paid to write about things, supported by facts - But, a lot of what they write is simply an OPINION. This means that what they say/write is thoughts of their own - it doesnt make anyone elses thoughts any more or any less wrong or right.

But I know young children like you seek out notable people like Ira about things you agree with because it makes you feel good about yourself. But again, it doesnt mean he is right or wrong or that anyone else is right or wrong.

Not giving the right people minutes

Funny you would say such a thing when you often complain about some guys getting too many minutes and at the same time, almost immediately - complaining about others not getting enough - so which is it? Remember, its generally a 15 man roster, 13 are active , 2 in active, 5 start, 8 on the bench , of those 13 - only 8-10 will see consistent minutes unless there are injuries/ foul trouble or the game gets out of hand one way or another. A lot of times, some guys wont see the floor - it happens often with every single team.
then the coach is not properly motivating them. At this level, very little the coaching staff can do other than motivate, call the right plays, make the right halftime adjustments, and make the proper substitutions.

motivating is not a job for the coach, at least not their top job. Players should be able to find motivation from within - the best players usually are able to do that as we often saw with Queen James and Diva before he became such a fucking pussy.. A coach who cant motivate is as dumb as an execuse you can find to be critical of a coach.

Obviously, the biggest adjustment needs to be execution from the players.

Oh, and speaking of your ignorance - you have yet to hold the players accountable for anything this season or during this big 3/ big 2 era .. you havent claimed to be an objective person, but it would help you if before you claimed to be objective that you at least once hold the players accountable for our short-comings this season.

Lack of accountability from the players is the biggest problem along with lack of execution from the players

But keep beliving what you want - we will keep seeing this team struggle and the coaches and front office wipe their ass with what this lousy fan base thinks or says - and I will just continue to enjoy one of the most fun and entertaining seasons in Heat history. 8th seed all day!

Oh, I have been critical of the players. Wade has gotten very lazy on defense at times and zones out and Bosh continues to be extremely soft after the first 10 games of the season. He is averaging less rebounds than his career average and that is unacceptable. Chalmers and Cole stink. However, when a team consistently losses the 3rd quarter and is otherwise playing well, then the coach BETTER start looking at himself in the mirror. We have been outscored by over 52 points during just the last 3 quarters ALONE. If it were a game and another quarter, that would mean getting outscored by 69 points. That is on the coach not knowing what the hell to do after halftime and who to play.

Diva is lazy on defense at ALL times, not just “ at times” as you mentioned. It is even worse when things arent going well for him or the team - he just stops trying - not that he ever tries that hard to begin with.

That is on the coach not knowing what the hell to do after halftime and who to play.

Actually, that is on the players not being able to score on the offensive end because they are either taking bad shots and/or turning the ball over - and on defense, cant stop the defense from scoring.

Whether you or any other idiot will ever be willing to admit it or not, it comes back to the players - and until they take accountability, nothing will change. Either way, its been a fun season to this point and it will continue to be and I will enjoy every minute of it.

On the players yes. But definitely on the coaches as well. Again, Spolestra has some talent on this team. However, he does not have the talent level he had in prior years when he had two of the top 5 players in the league or at least one. He need to maximize the talent he has and adjust and motivate before the season gets away from him and before he losses these players.

Its the eastern conf. the season wont get away until after game #82. Motivating is not his job. Thats also on the players themselves. They are grown men. They have and need to take some responsibility as well.

Should Miami Heat consider Jose Calderon for more-immediate fix? - Sun Sentinel
Wouldn't you agree that Jose Calderon can be an upgrade over Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole, while providing solid 3-point shooting and playmaking. Not to mention that he and Chris Bosh had couple of good seasons together in Toronto back in the day, so the chemistry is there. He is probably below average when it comes to defense due to his age, but his contract expires in 2016, which Pat Riley wouldn't mind taking. The issue is his contract dollars, but Riley can get creative if he is willing to give up a second-rounder. Your thoughts? -- Baron.

A: Actually, Calderon has this season plus two more on his contract, which pushes him through 2016-17, with a $7.7 million salary that season. While I have been pushing for the Heat to play for the playoffs, it also is important to not lose sight of the ultimate goal, which is getting back in championship mode. The only way the Heat should add salary for 2016-17 is if they think such a player could be a game-changer. And while Calderon certainly would make the Heat better, and more interesting, that extra year gets in the way. Riley should only consider spending ahead of 2016 for a game-changer; I'm not sure if Calderon, at this stage of his career, is such a player. Then again, adding Calderon and another player this coming offseason could wind up a safer proposition than trying to outbid the rest of the NBA in the 2016 offseason, when everyone will have cap space because of the new television dollars. It would be difficult to find matching dollars for Calderon's $7.1 salary, but Chalmers' $4 million could be a starting point, as could Chris Andersen's $5.4 million. (The more I type, the more I'm intrigued. Then again, living through these past few weeks can blind someone to the long view.)

Q: What would Gregg Popovich do? He wouldn't be scared to lose and sit his starters down in the third quarter. Don't start Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Luol Deng, etc. Let them sit until they got bored on the bench. Start Hassan Whiteside and four other players who have nothing to lose. -- Stuart

A: Gregg Popovich is coaching from a different place, a place where he can make statements knowing that a loss or two is not going to impact heading into the playoffs with confidence. The Heat are tenuously in a place where every game matters. But I would not be shocked to see Hassan Whiteside at some point being rolled out with the starters.

Q: Is there any regret in the Heat organization over letting Stan Van Gundy leave in light of how well he is coaching in Detroit (and how well he coached in Orlando)? -- Mike, Fort Lauderdale.

A: I think for many in the organization they're just happy for Stan that he is finding himself in a place he is comfortable. But regret? The Heat won three NBA championships since Stan's departure.

The youth movement continues for the Heat - more youngsters to the roster to help fuel the team, as old and washed up players like Diva Wade no longer have much to offer than unnecessary antics. A young team, led by a young , quality coaching staff - Better days ahead for the Heat - as they move closer to taking out the old trash that is no longer of value.
