This game brought back memories of Cherry's Bruins & Shero's Flyers. It was GREAT!!

Look, I don't mind a bad loss on the score sheet, or a physical game, but this game was sincerely an embarrassment. I'm not criticizing you for being happy, it was a good win for you guys on the score board, but don't expect anyone to respect those guys after all that crap went down. I guess I can't speak for anyone but myself though.

What Gillies did was total bullshit, I agree. Martin tried to get Talbot to fight & Max went down to the ice quicker than a person in quicksand.

When Haley was called up today I knew it was GAME ON!! Like I said in the opening post the Islanders need to start hitting back. Tonight they did just that.

NO whinning here. I give the Islanders credit for sticking it to the Penguins tonight. The problem I have is more with the NHL and how they deal with this stuff. Not consistent and like you said different for each player/team.

The only one that is guaranteed is Godards for leaving the bench.

What Gillies did to Tangradi was wrong. The Refs lost control of the game. They deserve some blame that's for sure. The Islanders have had a very frustrating season. They took it out on the Penguins tonight.

2 defensemen and a 1st seems like a half decent return for a RFA who wasn't going to re-sign. The real head scratcher was trading the 1st and Dean McAmmond to you guys for Comrie and Campoli.

I agree. The ass kicking happened before all the rough stuff.

The Pens got suckered in and they took the bait. Too many excuses going on. Which team was busy trying to fight while Grabner was going in on a breakaway? And that was before all the shenanigans. You might have wanted to keep an eye on Grabner during your powerplay too.

Time to man up and move on. It's that time of year again. Which means you have no time to worry about anything but getting better.
