I thought Deadpool 2 was unfuckingwatchable. Made it through about fifteen-twenty minutes before I turned it off.

Frankly, I don't believe anyone experienced either of those extremes. I think that's hyperbole, and the truth is in between.
Anyone that says it was crystal clear without fucking with their TV settings and/or room lighting conditions is full of shit. Same for anyone that says they had a blank screen for the duration of the episode.
Not really an issue in the medieval world.Never consummated and performed under duress.
I don't need to argue with you about it, I couldn't see shit. The dragon fight was about almost blank. It has been discussed on here that people had no clue what was happening. Then CHF told us he absolutely no problems.
I wonder how this image appears on @chf 's shitty 43" Samsung.
I doubt it was the carriers' fault, but I agree that it's no longer as dark. I watched a half hour or so of the episode last night under brighter room conditions than I did on Sunday, and I could definitely see a lot more detail.
My opinion is that HBO and/or the show producers said, "oops, we screwed that pooch," and brightened it up.
I'm not arguing with you.
I agree the dragon scene was almost fully black. I couldn't make out shit and missed a lot of what was happening. Doesn't mean the whole episode was black, that's hyperbole.
CHF thinks we should tune our TV settings to specific episodes. He's mildly retarded.
I posted on this earlier.
While I agree with your premise, the one caveat could be the waif.
We don't know how much time Arya needed to remove the face, but there was a trail of blood and the face itself had what appeared to be fresh blood on it while it was hanging up there.
I still see this as a magic ritual that takes time and practice and shortcuts are not an option. But, if it were up to the writers, I could see them making this a quick action and write it off as 'magic'.
It doesn't really matter now. When viewing again, the only hint we got was a WW lieutenant noticing something behind him and then *poof* Arya appears in the air and diving at the NK. There even appeared to be a slight breeze that moved the WWs hair, which maybe hints that something magical was happening? Or that it's winter and it's really cold out there because of the NK cloud???
I read that quick cut of the WW looking to his side and his hair blowing as Arya blazing by them in full sprint.
Yeah....we knew something like this was coming. Holy crap...the bitch rant is nearly 1/2 as long as the fucking episode!
Plenty to bitch about with the battles start, IMO. We have said it all before....but the battle layout, including:
Cavalry up front
Trebouchets outside of the gates (???) and not firing until Cavalry is already charging?
They really didn't have to make the battle plan so fucking lame for this battle. Best of cases it was going to be a tough fucking battle!
I have gotten over a lot of other gripes....but the armchair General in me will never get over that Order of Battle. Sheesh

Well, I watched it in a dim room. I had a screen that was a bunch of dark shadows scrabbling across a black background about 92% of the time. It's not a brand new television, but I've never had any problems previously. It was so bad, my wife commented that perhaps it's time we get a new TV.Frankly, I don't believe anyone experienced either of those extremes. I think that's hyperbole, and the truth is in between.

I can handle dramatic license, suspending my disbelief, etc., most of the time. Those were mistakes a private fresh out of boot camp wouldn't make. Be dramatic on screen, but also make a little bit of real-life sense. That's why the time travel shit from last season irritated me so much. The Drogathi cavalry charge was stupid but it was definitely there for dramatic effect. In fact it was very dramatic.
The difference between real-life and the mooovies...
