As a show only person I always felt it goes back to the time in Bravos. When they would be working on a face it was meticulous and took time to do right. They didn't swing a hand and the face was off. Now....that's just going by what they show you in a show thats moving along....so it might not be worth much.

But, based on that little bit I don't think she could have gotten a face too quickly.

Me either that is why I discredit that theory. I think she did it with badassery.

I am convinced it was shitty for some and not for others and had nothing to do with the tv or the settings. Watch the video clip shown earlier and then remember how you saw it. Way different I would imagine. I don't think it was the producers or directors fault. I think fault of cable/satellite companies handling the volume or something.

Yes you may be right. It was much better the 2nd time. You could actually see what was going on except for those actual parts where you weren't supposed to.

I could be wrong, but I believe he was one of three people in the world who could rework Valyrian steel and none of them are from Westeros.
You may be right, I don't remember the specifics of where that guy was from.

It's in Season 4 Episode 1 I believe. The very beginning so it's quick if you have the DVDs or On Demand cable.

I don't remember how many people were left but it was few. And Tywin had to bring the guy in from across the Narrow Sea.

The other thing I remember from the show is that magic was used in the Valyrian Steel creation process. Don't recall dragon fire being mentioned.

It was a different experience for many for sure.

I don't mind watching again. I want to see what the Arya was doing when the wights were following her. It was like a dark and blank screen.

Don't remember where it was mentioned specifically either but:

Valyrian steel

"Stories claimed that the metal was imbued with magic spells and forged with dragonfire...."

In the books it's referred to as dragonsteel in some old texts that Sam reads.

Jon and Sansa care because of Dani and Tyrion. Everyone else cares because Jon and Sansa cares. Also...Cersei has always been the far and away #1 on Arya's list.
And Jon and Sansa just care too. They killed Ned. They essentially killed catelyn and Robb.

Confirmed. I re-watched that last week.

Jamie goes back to Cersei.
Cersei murders Euron when he bends the knee to ask for her hand.
Cersei moves north to present a threat causing the North to get into Dany’s fight (or Dany threatens Jon to achieve the same)
Jamie dies saving Brienne on the battlefield.
Cersei Dany and Jon all die.
Last dragon standing melts down the iron throne.
Tyrion ends up being King of the South.
Sansa ends up Queen of the north.

I posted on this earlier.

While I agree with your premise, the one caveat could be the waif.
We don't know how much time Arya needed to remove the face, but there was a trail of blood and the face itself had what appeared to be fresh blood on it while it was hanging up there.

I still see this as a magic ritual that takes time and practice and shortcuts are not an option. But, if it were up to the writers, I could see them making this a quick action and write it off as 'magic'.

It doesn't really matter now. When viewing again, the only hint we got was a WW lieutenant noticing something behind him and then *poof* Arya appears in the air and diving at the NK. There even appeared to be a slight breeze that moved the WWs hair, which maybe hints that something magical was happening? Or that it's winter and it's really cold out there because of the NK cloud???

But they are technically still married. :2cents:

I doubt it was the carriers' fault, but I agree that it's no longer as dark. I watched a half hour or so of the episode last night under brighter room conditions than I did on Sunday, and I could definitely see a lot more detail.

My opinion is that HBO and/or the show producers said, "oops, we screwed that pooch," and brightened it up.

The only problem I have with that conclusion is some did not have any problems at all while others saw a dark blank screen.

Frankly, I don't believe anyone experienced either of those extremes. I think that's hyperbole, and the truth is in between.

Anyone that says it was crystal clear without fucking with their TV settings and/or room lighting conditions is full of shit. Same for anyone that says they had a blank screen for the duration of the episode.
