I remember the first time I did that was before season four and I was shocked after realizing Margaery Tyrell who was then with Joffrey was the same girl who was with Renley earlier. There were so many people to keep up with in the show. It was also funny seeing the version of the mountain in season two after seeing the world's strongest man version of him later on.

Those actor changes probably confused the fuck out of some people considering the current guy looks like he's 20 years younger than the others.

Yes. The first was good. The second was terrible - I want to say he was somebody on the film crew or something. I didn't even realize he was supposed to be the same guy in the first watching. The third was great.

The second guy remained as one of the giants. He was too thin to play the mountain.

And he had a few lines that were pretty pitifully done. He sounded like a feeble yes man rather than a maniac.

Yes. The one you show is the second Daario. The first played him for just 1 season and had VERY distinctive facial features. When this relatively normal looking dude took over, it took me about a half season to realize it was the same character.

Just reading the books, I knew if GOT ever came to the screen, they'd change Daario, or at least his color palette.

They were just asking for viewers to be confused with this one. They weren't even trying. I mean the other recasts were noticeable but still far more subtle than this. Daenerys had a much larger entourage in the books. Maybe not in terms of total men but in terms of named characters, so why not use one of them? They should have just given Daario an off-screen death and called the 2nd guy Ben Plumm (the guy who was actually the captain of the Second Sons in the books) but basically give him the same arc that Daario had on the show from that point on.

I know he's already way behind. I was including that. I think he's been doing it for awhile. He's using the show to gauge fan reaction of ideas and will change them based on negative reactions.

Daario keeps his beard cut in three prongs, all dyed blue. His eyes are blue and his curly hair is dyed blue. His mustachios are painted gold and he has a large, curving nose. He is lithe, smooth skinned, has a golden tooth and dresses in loud colors and finery. He wears a Dothraki arakh on his left hip and a Myrish stiletto on his right hip. Their hilts are a matched pair of naked women made in gold.[2]

even if it would have looked ridiculous, I wish they had gone that way with the character.

I also would have liked to see Strong Belwas in the show.

Problem being you'd have to CGI Belwas. Finding a 300 - 400 lb actor who could do the combat stunt work? Pretty much impossible. I have to give them props for finding the actress to play Brienne. Not easy to find women of that size who can do physical stuff either.

But it would be pretty easy to find a 300-400 lb actor who could take massive dumps.

You don't even have to have the guy fight. The most important thing he does is drop a huge growler on the champion of Meereen. Just have him do that and get killed immediately after. Problem solved.

Yeah, that's been a huge problem for the show thus far.

Thank the dear Lord they were able to find real dragons, and demons, and giants, and orcs, and fairies, and sea monsters and all that shit to play parts without needing CGI. . .

I think they could do it without CGI'ing Belwas. They might have to change his character a little and make him less agile, kind of just an enforcer, but it wouldn't be too tough.
