They need to work on dragon dismounts.

The time the assassins spent questioning mom, they could have just figured out what sex one of the two kids were and offed the right one.
Too much Sophie's Choice.... but I guess they had to show us what she was thinking.

She can predict the rats, but didn't see this coming?

I don't think she can "predict" things; she just sees signs but doesn't know how to interpret them.

Full of intrigue while not much on-screen action so far, but I'm loving this season.

Good second episode. I liked it a lot better than the first.

Acting is brilliant on this show. Tom Glynn-Carney (Aegon II) stole the show on an episode with several great performances.

My only minor complaint is that they could have extended the plot with the twin sent to kill Rhaenyra, make us care more about the characters and their fate, but overall it was a great episode.

I thought the dude playing Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifan) has been fantastic

Rhys, Emma D'Arcy, Olivia Cooke and Matt Smith have been great since their first scene.

Aegon II has mostly been a useless douche, but this season (and particularly this episode) he's becoming a far more multidimensional and interesting character, not just another Jeoffrey Baratheon.

the younger actors are expanding their characters nicely. It will be less about Alicent vs Rhaenarys by the end of it and more the next generation while the elders watch it spiral out of control.

hopefully different than the Cercei type thing where she couldn't help but be involved in all of it

The only truly odd casting to me is the dude playing Aemond (eye patch bro). Nothing against the actor I guess but it's distracting when he's in any scene because he doesn't look like a real person.

He's got Gollum's body and his face looks like the Chief from the animated Carmen San Diego show. He looks like of you typed in "Bond villain after bad plastic surgery" into an AI image generator from 2019.

The whole scene is kind of ridiculous tbh. Alicent could/should have ended the war right then and there.

It was a weak episode overall, felt like filler.

Big thumbs down on his nude scene.

Did nothing for me.

Well, holy crap.

The dance has finally started. Great episode.

Vagar was much stronger, but Rhaenys should have been more aware of its whereabouts, it shouldn't have caught her by surprise.

I think Aegon II is still alive.

Code:
Princess Rhaenys was badass, Rhaenyra will miss her.

BTW, did Aemond try to murder Aegon, when he attacked the dueling dragons?

he definitely made the conscious decision to attack his king.

it seems they are departing from the literature so unsure what the plan is now

Aemond tried to make Aegon "collateral damage", and I think he was going to finish off Aegon when Cole arrived at the scene.

The thing is, even if Aemond succeeded, he's not next in line to the throne, Aegon's two remining kids are (and one is a boy IIRC).

I haven't read the books and only know the overarching story (pretty much what Jeoffrey spoiled on GOT), but if they don't deviate much, Aegon is still alive and has a pretty important role to play in the future.
