As much as I'd like to win this game, it's rather meaningless and we can't really put the Isles in any peril. The game everyone should be watching is Pittsburgh at Ottawa. While the Pens could clinch a playoff spot with a win, they are clearly struggling and would be facing some serious heat with a regulation loss.

How lopsided are the recent goalie stats for that contest?

MAF: 3-5-1 with a 3.42 GAA in his last 9.

Hammond: 17-1-2 with a 1.79 GAA in his last 20.

Pretty unreal.

It is always fun to watch a good win especially against teams that are not so favorable to Flyers fans. The Penguins and the Islanders are two such teams. Otherwise, as has already been mentioned, this game is a fairly useless event.

It's kinda like in the shortened season when they played really well late in the season and it propelled them into the following season

I know that a higher draft pick would be nice and if it happens it happens but I want to see Jake win the scoring title and see them make it difficult on the other teams at the end of the season - they'll end up with a pick in the 7-9 range most likely anyway so it's still going to be a good pick I would think

Also, G has never had a regular season hat trick - he's two thirds the way to it tonight, I hope he gets it
