Does this make sense to anyone else?

I may not watch the game tonight. I will be too tense for eery single play being the end all be all of the game. I will lose my mind over every missed open net or pass, over every turnover and I will be a wreck by the second period.

I may go to the gym and let the score come across my phone as it happens.

The crazy thing is that I have played in a bunch of Game 3s and Game 5s (never played in a league with 7 game series) and these were always the most calm and easy to play games because you just went out and played and left it all out there.

That's the thing....in the NHL we're all guaranteed to see the very best that every single player has to offer.

Some times bad deflections or freak things happen to skew shit sideways, but for the most part....everyone is set on high and they always deliver.

you have have have to watch a game 7 in the NHL no matter who is playing your team or not. Its a game that screams drama and excitement and all out. every player on that ice is giving their last bit of effort to get that win. its so great.

I was in a hockey pool with a season ticket holder who couldn't take the drama of a game 7, so he gave his tickets up (yes, i grabbed them).
how many chances do you have to watch a game 7 with your team in it? It's ALL on the line.

Not gonna lie...the thought crossed my mind many times during various Game 7's. I always watched, but the stress BEFORE the game always killed me.

You people are nuts. The stress is what makes it the best. I have never felt that emotion before watching Horton getting the OT goal live against the Habs last year in game 7. Game 7 stress is the best. Just makes the fucking day go by way too fucking slow. Fuck.
