Congrats to the Bolts. Looking back, I'm actually shocked we were ever up 3-1. If more than just St-Louis had showed up in the first four games, this would have been over in 5 or 6 for Tampa Bay.

Oh balls. Good series Lightning and fans. I will be a Lightning fan starting tomorrow and ending when they're eliminated.

On the plus side, I can trim my beard for my comp defense tomorrow.

On another note, I'm pretty mad at the Penguins fans at the game who left before the team saluted the crowd. Most of them the rich folks in the expensive seats in the lower bowl. The real fans who would have stayed for the handshake and the congratulate their team on a great season given the circumstances, and a truly tremendous effort tonight, can't afford those tickets, and that's a shame.

I know I haven't shown my face for long. But I've held up movie night. And I picked the movie. I will be back.

I hate any fans that leave a game early.

Congrats Bolts. I'm not exactly sure who I'd root for at this point, the pain and frustration is too raw. I'd have to say I'm leaning towards the Bruins since I have the least negative feelings about them at the moment.

Regardless... gutsy season from the Pens... I can't wait to see what a healthy team can do, though it will be interesting to see what pieces shake out of Free Agency coming / going.

Team colors wouldn't have a little something to do with it now, would it?

Big props go to Marc-Andre. Dude earned every penny of that 5 million+ this season.

*realization* If healthy by next season, we'll have gone 10 MONTHS without watching Sid play a game.

Yes...I am a Nucks fan the rest of the way. :P

i'm torn. Close proximity to the sharks and all, but it is easy to root for Vancouver, as well

Out of the east... :juggle:

all i know is, both semi-finals in the EC will be intense

Hmm... it's that transparent huh?. :bounce:

Well... not completely. Sure, there's some bitterness w/ the Caps and Bolts... and I don't think I could stomach rooting for the Flyers unless they happen to be the team that escapes the Eastern Conference.

Wow, and you criticize me for no time to mourn? ;)

I chose Captain America. Sure, he wasn't Captain, but he was better than the Captain. Trust me, I'm in a mourning period, but looking at the field remaining? Easy choice.

Fuck...At this point I hope they say Sid had a more serious issue. If that isnt the case then he is a giant pussy

I really hate this argument for several reasons.

1. It's not Sid's decision. I'll trust the doctors who went through four years of undergraduate education, six years of medical school, and five years of residency to get where they are. If they said Sid wasn't ready, then he wasn't ready, and there's nothing he could do about that. What'd you want him to do, lie? Which leads me to point two.

2. Look at what happened to Marc Savard. He may never play again. Maybe he lied to his doctors and came back too soon. Do you want that to happen to Sid? No? Good. He's been honest with the doctors, and it may save no only his career, but his life, and more athletes need to take that approach.

3. Nobody is weak for sitting out for an injury. If you can't go then you can't go. Concussions more than anything else because of their long-term implications.

4. Crosby has shown nothing but the highest competitive drive and toughness from the very beginning of his career. He's played with injuries before, he works relentlessly to get better, he eats, sleeps and breathes hockey. There is no reason to believe that he didn't do everything in his power (without being stupid) to get back on the ice this season.

5. With recent reports about NFL players lying on their concussion tests coupled with all of the new information on permanent brain damage across sports because of concussions, treating head injuries with extreme caution in the NHL is paramount. This is absolutely the right thing to do.

I think that about summarizes how I feel about that.
