I noticed that too. Especially compared to the rest of the playoffs, which have been really exciting. Then you watch the Sharks/Blues and it's just kind of meh.

Making the playoffs is always better than not.
They made a valiant effort against the Kings to secure that spot.

I do hope making the playoffs doesn't prevent the Sharks from making major changes this offseason starting with firing Doug Wilson.

This offseason will be a test to see where the ownership group stands.

I expect them not to make the necessary changes however.
Committees often succumb to retarded groupthink.

On the bright side, Jumbo gave it his all and had a whale of a series. Burns was excellent as well. Nemo (aside from the third period today) was very solid.

Pavs, clowe, and patty were very disappointing.

However, it boils down to the fact that the sharks are old and slow and the good teams in the league now are young and quick.

Time for an overhaul, if they can manage to move some of these guys.

I'll enjoy watching their 2nd round ouster.

there is no doubt the talent on this team, what is in doubt are these factors:

leadership
chemistry
coaching (PK amongst other things)
grit/heart/will/desire

ability to hold it together when the game is on the line - experience these guys should have in spades, yet they seem to go all chaotic when the going gets tough

unlike the Blues, they seemed like the Sharks of a few years ago, never panicking, always confident and sticking to their system no matter what the score.

the culture on the Sharks is completely infected with fail, it has to be totally rebuilt, i don't care how bad this team will suck going forward, i would gladly buy season tix to see the Ricci, Scott Thornton brand of hockey from before.
