Yeah, I finally made it over. Seeing Turnup get the boot was the clincher for me, not that I don't like him, just the fact that the mods are on top of their game here. Not interested in the personal back-and-forth.

:agree: Welcome Brother!!!

They do a fine job here, they ousted TLF too, but you know that guy always flirted with pushing the border outward.

Good to see you here! :suds:

BTW- I like your takes, however agree with tf12, they just ran out of gas at the end of quarters. Mikey needs to expand his rotations some to keep fresh legs. Maybe he learned something as late in the 4th he opened up the roster beyond 8 and we went on a, too little too late run. Had he done some of that early on who knows ...

Guess I'll post on the main for a little bit to see how it goes. I was mostly a Laker board poster on cbs and may stay the same here, but it seems as if the problems that I had with the cbs main board don't exist here...

Kold if you're interested you can petition the admins here to get your screen name correct.

I like the Koldazice profile name for you brother, maybe you were a bit hasty registering over here but they can probably help you out. Contact HammerDown. He's a cool dude, he'll probably be able to set it up.

Well I just placed some bets. I hope I did it right. What does it mean when a team has -6.5 in front of it?

It means they must win by 7 or you lose

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers said he planned to limit Kevin Garnett's activity during Thursday's practice with the goal of having him on the floor for Friday's Game 3 of an Eastern Conference first-round series against the New York Knicks.

Garnett suffered what Rivers has compared to a hip pointer during Tuesday's Game 2 loss. Garnett didn't address the injury specifically when talking before Thursday's session but said simply that he's "confident" he'll be healthy enough to play.

"I didn't ask [the training staff]. That's my rule, I try not to ask. Because they may give you the answer you don't want to hear," Rivers joked about Garnett's status. "Right now, we're planning on him practicing. I'm not going to let him go through the entire practice, even if he's feeling good. I know a hip pointer, all you need is someone to bang into you or something. I don't even know if it's that, so we're going to be careful."

So what was your bet? I'll tell you if I like it or not.

montsho, usually you can bet straight up, not sure if the SportsHoopla bookie works it that way but usually if you bet on the favorite like you did here when you bet straight up on the favorite you need to risk more to get less as an example if you bet on the favorite you risk $100 to earn $50 and your payout is $150. That's a 2:1 bet so for every dollar you bet you get 50 cents in return. If you bet on the underdog, you may find a straight up bet that pays out 1:2 for example so for every dollar you bet you make $2 in the process so if you risk 100 your payout is $300.

That's how bets are done if they just win or lose.

Maybe you already knew this, if not I hope it helped.

i know it is not the popular opinion.....but i just feel the clips, okc, spurs, knicks, pacers
know that this is a game that will get the series over quickly....the home teams will be pumped just think the teams up 2-0 will pull them out in the end......not expecting any blowouts

Looks like I bet on

Miami to win by more than 7

Memphis by more than 5 (most likely will lose on this one)

Bulls by more than 4

Whats a moneyline?

the moneyline works out like just picking winner,,,,,it ignores the spread, but you have to bet more on the faves than you win

so in the memphis game ...you bet 200 to win 100 and the dog(clippers) you bet 100 to win 170.....no spreads just a simple win/loss

Do I have to post 40 or 50 times or something before I can bet?

You have that reversed don't you? You wouldn't bet the underdog using the ML...you'd take the points they're getting.

Funny ML was in Women's college ball earlier in the year. If you wanted Baylor vs. Louisville (the game Louisville ended up winning) you had to bet $20,000 to win 100. Baylor was favored by 22.

Who in their right fucking mind would risk 20 grand to win a 100 bucks?

I have a hard time seeing how the Lakers can hang with the Spurs seeing as their guard rotation is going to consist of two sophmores and Chris Duhon. They just don't have enough firepower anymore to stand a chance unless those guards get extremely hot. Otherwise it will be more of the Spurs packing the paint and minimizing the bigs affect.

In the last 25yrs or so only 5 teams who were the underdog, down 0-2 have comeback and won the series.
