The Houston Texans will be coming to Foxboro after a brutal game against the Kansas City Chiefs that the Texan won 19-12. They got a TD from their main weapon, Deandre Hopkins and 4 FGs. The Chiefs kicked 4 FGs too. It appears that the game was a defensive battle, but it appears more that it was a bad offenses. The Texans couldn't run the ball, they had less than 70 yards running. They had 268 yards passing but Osweiler had two INTs to go with his TD.

Patriots will hopefully get their defensive front back together and hopefully try attacking the QB like they did in the first half of the game against the Dolphins.

I'm sure that the "Experts" will be predicting an upset because JJ Watt is back and will destroy the rookie quarterback of the Patriots.

I forgot that TJ Yates is also available. Although he wasn't with the Pats, he played under O'Brien in a very similar system. Might even be able to give BB some insight o

Once for ounce is there a better deal in the nfl than Julian Edelman?

What a tough little bastard.

As of this morning the Patriots have no intention of signing a 4th string QB. I can understand why. Why bring in someone to back up your third stringer when it would take him 2-3 weeks to get acclimated, and by the time he could take snaps in a game, Brady will be back. This is a great opportunity for JB to get game experience under pressure. If he really does well, the Pats will be trading JG before the trade deadline. Considering the Eagles got a 1st and 4th for Bradford sight unseen, JG had to be worth at least the same to a team with a big need.

The NFL Network Morning Football experts have declared Thursday night a disaster for the New England Patriots. They have predetermined that JJ Watt and his defensive buddies will destroy Jacoby Brissett and the Patriots.

So far the Texans have beaten the Bears 23-14 and the Chiefs 19-12.

I guess the highly potent Texans offense will shred the lowly Patriots defense. So far they've scored 3 TDs and kicked 7 FGs.

Maybe the Patriots should avoid the embarrassment and just forfeit the game.

Not confident at all in Brissett........

Wonder if they will do a trick play again where Edelman throws to Brissett?

Is Manning available?

He could suit up and hang around the sidelines for a week and a half, then re-retire and be inducted into the HOF as a Patriot, no?

That would keep O'Brian and Ryan on their toes, who to prepare for, rookie or pro...

Yes, that was funny.

No it was not!

It's been four years and I still have the scars from that memory!

Second most embarrassing moment in Texans history.

Right behind having Vanilla Ice as their halftime entertainment in their home opener in 2013.

Wow really? Ice Ice was your home opener? Isn't he from Dallas?

That's a double douche move.

Apparently the football gods were not amused as we lost 14 in a row after that.

I look for NE to run a similar game plan as the did vs AZ. Keep the TE's in, keep him safe and upright. Run the ball, throw it short and move the clock. I would not be shocked in NE has some type of Wild Cat installed for JE during this game. That would really mess things up.

It's all gonna come down to this defense. Hou has a very good, fast, big WR group. They struggled bad vs Mia the second half. Let's hope some pressure gets to Brock and he makes a few mistakes...

Brock doesn't have the same OL he had in Denver. He hasn't had time to check down his WR and TE. The Pats D-Line has to really push the Texans OL back hard and make Oz move left or right, preferably left. If they can make him uncomfortable, Lamar Miller is not going to be able to handle a 30 carry load. He's good for 10-12. Anything more and he'll pull up lame with an ankle or hip. He is not durable.

I have to agree with Creep. Six man O-Line with Bennett setting the right edge. If the Texans bring 4, Bennett will be the 'Hot' key and JB will looking to dump little tosses to the right side. 5-6 yards every time, and once in a while there will be a jail break. Blount will get 25-30 carries. If he starts off getting 4-5 yards per, he'll tear up this defense by the middle of the 3rd quarter. Everything will be short and YAC will be critical.

Jacoby wins his first game as a rookie...................Pats 27 Texans 17

Not sure you have been watching Houston this year or Denver last year. We had one of the worst OL's in football last year. It is a bit part of why we had such a terrible offense and why the team replaced 4 of the starters from that team. Both of our QB's by the end of the year were actually injured because of the hits they were taking. I'm not saying the Texans have a top-tier OL right now but they are much better than what the Broncos had last year.

Also Lamar Miller through 2 games already has 53 carries. So that is an average of 26.5 carries a game. And so far he hasn't come up lame. Miami used him terribly and a big reason he wanted out of town. While maybe he can't handle that work load the entire season at least early on I would think there is probably no starting RB in the NFL more rested to actually take that kind of load on. And if you want to talk about durable at the RB position hasn't Blount struggled with random injuries throughout his career and yet somehow he is the one that can handle 25-30 carries?

Why is it that the Patriots message board always has someone to come in and attempt to cast dismay. Lamar Miller is the next Emmitt Smith and Lagarrett Blount is a piece of shit.

We is lucky to get out of Arizona with out testicles intact. The fact that we beat a team that most of "experts" in the USA predicted would be in the Super Bowl without one starter in place on the O-Line and a back up QB is of course of no merit. We is even more lucky to lose that back up QB in the first half of Game 2 and have to play the 3rd string QB. If we had to play another quarter the Dolphins would wiped the streets with patriots.

So here come the Texans. The mighty, mighty Texans. Scoring a devastating average of 21 points a game and keeping the Vaunted offenses of the undefeated Chicago Bears and the awesome Kansas City Chiefs to a combined 26 points. The Patriots are only averaging 27 points a game against shitbag defenses. Oh I forgot, the Patriots must be cheating. I'm sorry, my mistake.

Never said Lamar Miller is the next Emmitt Smith or that Blount is a bad player. I said that you are trying to downgrade one player and uplift your player when neither have proven they can handle that 25-30 carries a game on a consistent basis. Blount has struggled with injuries and Miller some injuries and never given the opportunity in Miami to do it. So far this year though he is averaging over 25 carries a game and has held up just fine. We are early in the year so I don't think 3 straight weeks of a heavy load is going to kill a guy that hasn't been used a whole lot. If you were making this argument now and say you weren't playing them until week 10 then I would be a little more understanding that he needs to prove he can do it for the long haul. We are in week 3 though.

And again OL wise it doesn't seem like you watched the Broncos much last year. They had a terrible OL. Maybe the worst I have seen as a Bronco fan. They had 3rd string guys at both tackle spots and the 2 starting guards spent the entire year having to be subbed in for because of injuries. Our Center was taking his first NFL snaps. So no it was not a great OL that could run or pass block. Both of our QB's ended up taking a ton of hits and getting injured. I've watched at least a little of Houston this year and while they are not a world beater at the OL they still look more competent than what the Broncos showed last year.

Never said you guys can't win this game or won't win this game. Honestly Thursday games are some of the hardest to predict. Weird things happen and when teams don't have the time to game plan like usual you can see even the best teams struggle with turnovers that can make any game winnable for either team.

"We'll see. It will definitely be a coach's decision, a trainers decision, we'll all come together. I'm just doing everything I can right now to be as healthy as I can be.
