At least Coburn didn't take out Mason this time, he has a nasty habit of doing that a lot

the 3rd goal ducks goal was an abomination. Simmonds, Coburn, and (cant remember who it was) literally all guarded the same 3ft square of ice where there were 0 ducks within a 10 foot radius. what in the flying hell were they doing? 3 flyers, 0 ducks, and in a shock to nobody, the puck found a wide open duck.

nice work by simmer to dig deep at the end of a 2+ minute shift to get the tying goal. I thought Giroux was going to collapse on the ice at the end of that one.

Loss in a shootout, not surprising. Not terrible to get it there against the Ducks playing on back to back nights out west. All in all, a decent result.

Should have been a win though. Should never lose when you take a 3-1 lead late in to the second.

Edit: Wanted to see how good my attention to detail was. Giroux finished the 3rd on a 2:06 shift and Simmonds was out there for 1:41. Those are outrageous shift lengths.

Yeah they should never blow a 3-1 lead in a situation like that - the third goal was awful on all levels - A-Mac was on the ice for the third goal so it might have been him that was the third guy who was in that area - they had no answer for Sami Vatanen in this game - he's been really good lately but they have to pay more attention to guys like that

They're only six points behind the Rangers which isn't bad - Rangers have a hard time beating a lot of teams that aren't named the Flyers so the Flyers have some winnable games coming up so if they can start stringing together wins and keep this effort up, they'll get back in it

If Wayne Train gets going I think this team will start winning some games quickly - he's really key - he was one of the guys not scoring for a while there

The hope is one of those guys coming back crashes into the goalie, leaving an open net! Unfortunately they don't have a Coburn.

I've noticed that Coburn has a knack for taking out Mason as well. I wonder what Mason did to him
