My mistake, they haven't had a power play yet - they had 4 on 4 once so that's what was on my mind

Is it just me or did it seem like the infusion of youth really injected a lot of life into this team last night?

The OT win on the very first goal by Voracek really sweetens the pot, but I was already set to claim that this team had turned a corner. We were flying all over the ice in the third period and the heat was on the Canes in their own building, without question. That compete level is something I haven't witnessed in awhile.

You didn't necessarily see it via shots, but I thought we dominated the second half of the game in possession and offensive zone time. I don't recall that happening yet this season and certainly not after trailing 0-2.

I do give them credit for the third period, that was a good period from them, that being said, I don't think they played very well the first two periods - maybe part of the third period was Carolina sitting back

I want to see the Flyers play a bunch of real good games in a row like they performed in the third period and OT before I'm certain that they're a different team

One thing the Flyers need to do better of is getting more power plays - the feet have to be moving and they have to draw more power plays, if they do that, then Ghost is going to kill it because it will get him even more involved in the game - I'm not sure the Flyers are still going to score a ton 5 on 5 so they have to work hard and get more power plays

The last three road games have been good for the most part but now they have to go back home and play way better - their last four home games have been bad and usually they don't go that many games in a row at home playing that way

unfortunately no.. I had friends in from out of town and they're not big hockey fans. bad timing for sure, but it was a good weekend so I'm not upset.

the next one down here though i'll go to. and ironically enough, I'm going to the canes game tonight haha

I've noticed the crowds in Carolina haven't been that great - you can probably go to about any game you want right now
