No team looses the greatest QB to ever play the game then just magically are instantly competitive. How long did it take the Phins and Donks to replace Marino and Elway?

Exactly.

Teams just don't normally look to replace a great QB. Except the Packers.

Bill reacted in 2003 to not making the playoffs in 2002. He didn't have to do anything after winning 2003.

He fumbled around until 2008 and lost the SB and again in 2011.

Almost lost 2014.

Skipped a year and won 2016 and then skipped two and got back in 2019.

Basically, you're admitting that Bill doesn't have a plan and has chosen to pick and choose on the run or he has a plan that failed miserably for 10 years after it was successful as hell for three out of four. He also had the greatest Quarterback in the history of professional football for 20 of those years!!!!!

My point is this. If Bill Belichick had any kind of plan at all, this team would have been a contender over the past five years and would never have become the league doormat. Right now, if you asked him what his free agency and draft plans are, he could not answer that question. He's totally focused on now and hasn't even looked at the 2024 potential free agents available or even starte to consider who he would want to bring back on this present team.

Seven out of ten people will immediately speak up and say, "Bill Belichick never negotiates contracts during the seaon. Well, this season was over two weeks ago. Starting quiet discussions with agents or offering a contract extensions this week and next would be a great way to put a future plan in action now.

The greatest coach of all time, who has eight Super Bowl rings, one of which earned his defensive game "plan" a place in the HOF, who provided two decades of NFL dominance as a HC, has an affinity with military battle plans, and grew up with a father in the Navy, operates without a plan?????

Sorry bud but you're REALLY reaching here.

Ok, I see your point.
Belichick was a genius in 2014,
an idiot in 2015,
Genius in 2016,
Idiot in 2017,
And again a genius in 2018!

If part of this is BS then all of it is.

Prior to 2004 BB brought in Corey Dillon, and that more than "BB didn't have to do anything" was the reason they repeated that year. Then before 2007 he brought in Wes and Randy, and they lost after 18 wins predominantly because of the fake spygate part II severely interrupted team focus. Then 2011 they played the SB with a severely injured Gronk which unfortunately they planned as part of the game instead of without him. In 2014 they won via a fluke play after being victimized by a fluke play. 2011 to 2019 is probably the most dominant run in football history.

Why does everyone forget the other teams try too.

What. I swear I do not know how or if your brain works correctly at times. I am admitting nothing and you are trying to turn nothing into something. That is always the beginning of "I'll keep this up until people are tired of it". Well I am tired of it already

As game time approaches, the Patriots will be without Safety Jabril Peppers and WR Kayshon Boutte. Injury bug just will not stop biting the Patriots.

Bills seem to have up-righted themselves and have a 3-game win streak coming into this game.

Patriots are coming off a last second win against the Broncos.

Oddly, the Bills seem to have a very difficult time beating the Patriots at home. The Patriots beat them in 2022 in a brutally cold night game.

Right now, it's 35 degrees in Buffalo and very cloudy. There is a storm coming off Lake Erie that possibly could affect the game with rain and/or snow. Flurries being forecast around noon. Minimal wind of 3 mph.

Patriots declared OT Trent Brown, TE Hunter Henry, S Jabrill Peppers, WR Kayshon Boutte, DT Sam Roberts, RB JaMycal Hasty, and QB Nathan Rourke inactive for Week 17 against the Bills.
Henry was questionable coming into this game with a knee injury, but it appears he will not suit up for the second straight week. Last week, it was Pharaoh Brown that saw a major uptick in work; although, Mike Gesicki could also see some increased opportunities. Trent Brown being inactive is not great news for Bailey Zappe against this Buffalo pass rush.

This game should be a massacre, 10 yards of offense and 3 turnovers, but defense is holding Bills to only 13 so far.

Bills' offense sucks just a little bit less than the Patriots'.

Their only advantage has been when they get the ball in the Red Zone.
