Hate ND, but I fully expect them to cover. Don't let the SEC nutswingers at ESPN fool you. Their offense isn't anywhere near as good as it was last year, and it wasn't even great then.

It's the defense that was awesome last year. Now it's just above average. The only place 'bama is great this year is the oline. The quarterback is okay, and doesn't make mistakes, but he doesn't scare anyone downfield. The defense cannot rush the passer like last year, they are just very fundamentally sound. The only thing that would make for a blowout in bama's favor would be mistakes by Notre Dame, and they don't seem like the type of team to make mistakes.

I know bama's D was lights out last year. My point was with ND's D, and Bama's offense this year, I wouldn't be they beat a tested, undefeated team by 11.

Never thought I'd hear that..... Mick's has too many of the same player -- Not enough ass down low. We can probably beat just about anyone if all our guards were hot in the same game (like the Syracuse game last year), but that's only going to happen a few times a year.
