We have smith so it isnt as bad and of course hardy could be in mix now
I just said I agree that the sky didn't fall.I wil lsay again, saying it sucks is one thing. But the perpetual sky is falling B!t(h fest over losing a guy who has been to this point a disappointment.... not warranted in my opinion.
If the sky's not falling, why is it so damn humid outside? Right?I wil lsay again, saying it sucks is one thing. But the perpetual sky is falling B!t(h fest over losing a guy who has been to this point a disappointment.... not warranted in my opinion.
I'm not going to apologize for being very upset at losing a key guy to the defense for the second year in a row. First time on the very first day of camp. This time he wasn't even playing football. Just very very disapointing.
Our pass rush, even with an improved Smith, is still very suspect. Galette would have very likely changed all that, instead I still see Romo stepping up and hitting Whitten for 13 and a first down over and over again.

No need to apologize to anyone. It sucks he got hurt again for sure and he's a good player when healthy but I get the sense some posters here think he's LT reincarnated

Plus if we lose RK or PS in the preseason or mid season this loss just gets that much larger. When your depth at pass rusher gets weakened its a big deal Kevin. This is why I was very optimistic about our defense this year b/c we had depth at the two most important positions pass rusher and CB.
Just going to throw it out there, but the concept of having depth kinda says you should be able to survive an injury to a starter without the whole thing becoming markedly worse. If you are saying we just got worse because of the loss of GAllette alone... then our depth was an illusion.![]()
You're still not making sense. Starters are starters because they are better than the backups. And even if the reserve is as good, then you lost your depth - since the depth has to start. They haven't even put the pads on yet. That's like losing your top accountant to an injury playing Pokemon Go. Also, I think they were planning on moving Smith around the line to take advantage of mis-matches and to confuse offenses. Now, they likely can't do that to much extent - since they need him at OLBer.
Jarrette actually did something for this team... Remind me again how many games has Gallette actually played for the Redskins??
That's a weird argument to me. So if Dotson gets injured in week one of the preseason and misses the entire year. It and won't really be shit and shouldn't hurt the team because he hasn't played a reg season game or took a a reg season snap? With 20 sacks his last two years in NO it wasn't as if Galette was an unknown commodity. Maybe someone, Murphy, P Smith who knows? Steps in and does a damn good or great job, but we can't pretend that the Skins from the coaching staff to the players to Galette himself weren't expecting a big year from Galette. That being Galette giving the Skins defense something they have sorely lacked on a consistent year to year basis since the days of Charles Mann and Dexter. A pass rush that can be a difference makker, game changer and game closer.
