Shocked! What's his contract like for this year? Damn I hope Harbaugh has a plan.

Not bad. Now we dont need to look for a QB. We can get a QB in the 7th who I say wont make the team and we keep him on the practice squad in case of an injury.

I think they Jags misunderstood. I believe we said "hey we will take Blackman off your hands for a 6th, and you can throw Gabbert in as well, we'll eat his salary for you".

The jags heard- blah blah blah 6th for Gabbert.

I liked Gabbert coming out of college, but quickly changed my mind about him after the preseason. The guy gets rattled way too easily, but behind a good OL he could impress.

Read somewhere that they will try to get it down to a one year $1mil deal to be the backup

I mean we did need a backup QB this year, they must have not liked McCoy at all

Mizzou fan perspective. The dude sucks, he wasn't all that good in college but was surrounded with some really good players. I was never high on him and no one here understood why he was taken top 10. For a 6th he may be a decent backup but having been at every home game he played in college I'd advise not to connect too much hope to him.

We have an already great QB in #7, he just needs to signal the plays in and play the preseason

Thought this was funny as shit.

Sam Monson ‏@PFF_Sam 6m

If Harbaugh turns around Gabbert the 49ers should forget about extending him, they should just hand him the franchise, Jerry Jones style.
