it's not just planned parenthood btw... it provides contraceptives, cancer screenings, and pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease testing at community health centers across the country.

Still not worth shutting the government down over it.

They shouldn't be paying for people to not get pregnant, people should be able to do this on their own. This country just gives and gives. What the gov't should do is stop giving so much help to women who just push kids out onpurpose to r*pe the system. I want my taxes that I pay to be used to build infrastructure, not keep people down and suppressed.

That is exactly what they are doing by just feeding money to full-time procreators. I want my kids and their kids to live in a secure society. I dont want to feed the mouths of people I despise.

/rant

You just totally contradicted yourself, Jeff.

First you criticize Planned Parenthood for helping people not get pregnant. Than you criticize them for people who are full-time procreaters. Which do you want, Jeff? People to not have children or people to have children they can't afford?

And you know what, Planned Parenthood is a lot, lot more than just contraceptives. They provide necessary medical coverage.

When I was younger and wasn't on my parents insurance plan anymore, I was a patient of Planned Parenthood. I have my own insurance now and pay the same taxes you do but I'm not going to turn around and not support the organization just because I personally don't need them anymore.

1 in 5 American women have used Planned Parenthood in their lifetime. It's a very, very necessary organization!

unfortunately it's the exact opposite

steal from the poor-give to the rich

Exactly wrong. Look at who pays the taxes. The same people who employ people, produce jobs, and cut our checks are the ones who pay the majority of the taxes in this country.

Any one who makes over 250k is considered rich and therefor raped in the butt with high taxes. Small business owners who have to pay their expenses, employees, plus ridiculous taxes can't hire new employees right now because of this crazy tax burden. Lower the taxes on the higher income and they can hire more people. It's not very hard to figure out.

Not contradicting at all. I said people should be able to prevent pregnancy on their own. My tax money should not be spent on brainless people who cant close their legs. They can get insurance like I do and pay for it themselves. Tax money should not go to that. I only used "full-time procreators" as an example of people who can't help but get pregnant and as an example of the government just dishing money out to those poeple to support their children. My money should not be aiding either person... Either prevent your own parenthood, or close your damn legs and dont depend on the gov't to raise your children.

Imagine how a person who pays a shit ton in taxes every fucking check feels... Being dished out to people who probably work under the table and pay not a fucking dime back into taxes. I have no sympathy for leeches.

GE the parent company of MSNBC?

Anyways, what does that have to do with my point? Why are you comparing a billionaire to a small businessman who makes 250k? That's the same thing that politicians do and it just creates problems. 250k is considered rich so they get taxed just as much as millionaires. Even though those guys making 250k only bring home maybe half of that after taxes, expenses, payroll, etc. are paid. It doesn't make any sense. Besides that, most big businesses pay taxes. What's scary though is that roughly 40% of people in this country pay no taxes whatsoever and leach off of everyone else.

So you mean abstinence then. If you're poor, you're not entitled to have sex.

What the Congress needs to do is put together a budget that isn't filled with riders. Make a God Damn budget and leave the political debate for another day. They're out of time.

If you can't afford a condom then not being able to have sex is probably the least of one's problems.

Anyways, if PP is so good at handing out contraceptives then why are they in the abortion business. Oh yeah, it's because of the idiots out there that use abortion as a form of birth control. Our taxes don't need to pay for that.

This is all besides the point. PP is definitely not something that is worth shutting the government down over.

I'll try not to comment on this any more because there is about a 99.9% that you won't change my mind. I'm sure I won't be changing yours either.
