I am not saying he was a really bad president but definitely not fiscally conservative.

Reagan a fiscally conservative president??????? hahahahahaa

I never once blamed the corporations, I blame the idiots that continually support the two party system.

The two-party system does have it's fair share of problems. I still prefer it to the multi-party systems of Europe and Canada though. I never try to stop others from voting third party. I just choose not too because imo it usually just helps the side that you disagree with the most by taking away a vote from a candidate that actually has a chance to win. For example, voting for Nader actually helped Bush by taking away votes from Gore. Same thing with Perot taking away votes from GHWBush in '92. That helped Clinton. Neither side wants to do away with the two-party system so we seem to be stuck with it.

His trickle down economics was not fiscally conservative:

I hear ya and there is much debate on this issue. I'm of that belief that Reagan's policies in the 80's were a big reason that we enjoyed such a prosperous country in the 90's...as well as a GOP controlled Congress in the 90's that forced Clinton to be a little more pragmatic. It took a little while for us to feel the effects of his (Reagan) policies. Reagan still had to clean up Carter's mess (while having a Democratic controlled Congress too). This is my opinion of course. Feel free to disagree. It's all good. :)

And these mindsets is why we are so screwed and will never recover.
Like Eddy said before, this is the greatest divide and conquer scheme we have seen.

Edit: Never recover is too strong and I don't mean that we will never recover, we just won't go back to where the old two party system seemed to work better and where our economy was a world power.
We used to have a self sustaining economy because American goods were made in America and went to pay American paychecks.

It is not like either of us are going to change anyone's mind. That is why I hate politics on this forum and would rather have it on the politics board.
I think the 90s economy was really saved by the .com boom, but who really knows.

Agreed. People get frustrated with two-party gridlock, but it gets much worse when you have 3-5 parties in the mix.

I would only agree with you if they actually fixing the other ones screw ups.
One side blames financial deregulation on the other party but when they were in power, did they do anything about it? No. The other side didn't like the Patriot Act and did they do anything about it? No.

Neither party seems to correct the other one's mistakes. If they start doing that then I might start getting some faith back in the two party system but as it is they both just point fingers and don't do anything to really make progress.

There are a lot of true feminists who despise Planned Parenthood.

:der:

True feminists? True? What makes one a feminist more true than another?

And no. There are not a lot of feminists against Planned Parenthood. I googled it :(

Maybe there might be a handful of confused nutjobs who say that but they are probably like Jews for Jesus (straight up confused).

I don't mean to drag this thread back from the dead. Sorry about that. I shouldn't have used the word 'true.' However, feminism is not synonymous with being pro-abortion.
