This situation apparently escalated quickly (shocker with the TOR media there...), and Kessel and he sat down and talked out his frustration. Kessel also spoke to his team about it. Seems like it blew up really quickly.

Wilson seems to have a very bad habit of distributing blame amongst others. I mean, I'm sure it's easier to do now in Toronto when the team has a recent history of losing than it was in SJ, but it certainly makes one wonder why you'd want him as your coach. There's a line that coaches must tiptoe between being player friendly and being in charge and taking no crap...very few guys have mastered it, but Wilson certainly can't find it.

Lose long enough and he'll throw the entire team under the bus before taking blame for a loss. But when the team wins, it was all him.

What people don't realize is that Ron Wilson developed a flawless hockey system. If the players would just play it right, they'd never lose.
