Here's a way too early thread to make some predictions of where some of the top FA's end up right before the playoffs get under way. Take a stab at it and let's see who gets the most right.

PG's:

Goran Dragic- Heat
Brandon Knight- Mavs
Rajon Rondo- Lakers
Reggie Jackson- Knicks

SG's:

Wesley Matthews- Pacers
Aaron Afflalo- Knicks
Danny Green- Blazers

SF's:

Jimmy Butler- Bulls
Draymond Green- Pistons
Tobias Harris- Magic
Kawhi Leonard- Spurs
Khris Middleton- Bucks

PF's:

LaMarcus Aldridge- Blazers
Kevin Love- Cavs
Paul Millsap- Hawks

C's:

Marc Gasol- Grizzlies
DeAndre Jordan- Bucks
Greg Monroe- Knicks

Think most of the big names stay put unless something crazy happens. Knicks will get a couple big FA's, same with Lakers.

Teams with $ in the East have an advantage since most top FA's will probably want to get out of the Western Conference if they can.

Why would Monroe go to the Knicks? It is a worse situation than he is currently in. It's not even like he would be "the man" with Melo there, and they are less likely to have success than 90% of the teams in the association.
I would love for him to stay with the Pistons and think it is more likely than it was last summer (but that is only saying it is better than a .00001% chance).
If he doesn't stay I would love to see him do something unpredicted, sign with the Spurs with Timmy being in his twilight years. It would be an awesome situation for him to polish his game under Duncan and Pops and phase in when Tim retires.

If either Timmy or Manu retires, I expect one of ALDRIDGE/GASOL to maybe sign with SA.
The SPURS are hoarding a ton of cash...and Manu/Timmy will make it even larger.

Gasol is the typical Euro player SA loves.
He fits the SA international culture, but I am not sure he wants to leave the only home he has known since a kid.

Aldridge is from Texas. He lives there and wants to play for a Texas team as an intriguing idea.
Dallas will also have a massive hoard of cash. Houston has none.
But, he seems to prefer either San Antonio or Portland as a destination.

25% chance Gasol.
50% chance Aldridge.

But, if both Manu/Timmy come back, the Spurs are likely to get neither player.

Read this morning that Monroe is a lock to go to the Knicks

LMFAO @ Jordan to the Bucks.

I think the Clippers will give him a max.

But, Maybe the Knicks or Lakers are a possibility.

But, the Bucks? :pound:

If they had a great team, I'm sure he would give them a glance. But, he's a Tropical Weather kind of DuDe.

Keystone of the defense system, DeAndre Jordan (9.8 points 13.4 rebounds and 2.3 average cons this season) is well aware of but has no explanation. Sports Illustrated, he also told on several topics, including explaining not to participate in the dunk contest as he was not All Star. Free agent next summer, it may be coveted but very personal criteria.

"Obviously, good weather is important," he says. "I've always been spoiled. I'm from Texas and I live in Los Angeles so I've never worn a coat. "

Is it really a factor for players?

"I think so. I do not want to freeze me every day. If the team is great, it is obviously necessary to make a choice and then there was always the heating. "

The Lakers will foolishly overpay Rondo and I'm gonna be hella pissed. That's right. So pissed that I use the word "hella" like its the late 90s again.

I wanted to make one random, off the wall prediction because everything was so bland before that pick… and there it was. Them and the Knicks have the most cap space this offseason so I just kinda threw it out there for reactions like yours. :dhd:

Imagine the length of this starting five:

Carter-Williams, Middelton, Parker, Greek Freak, DeAndre Jordan with Henson & Zaza off the bench. LIMBS FLYING EVERYWHERE.

Don't blame you.
Last thing you guys need is Nash 2.0

Clarkson looks decent.
I hardly think PG is Lakers biggest need.

definitely agree here...

imho the needs are starting 3 and 5. don't get me wrong, Hill can play his ass off, but he's hardly an elite center. and we've been weak at SF for quite a while now. that's where i'd start anyhow...
