Things are slow, which probably means Scot really is in charge. I am trying to change the mindset that Dan Snyder has conditioned me to have, that we can and should try to fix everything in one year. Don't give shut down corner money to a guy who is not a shut down corner. (Maxwell)

Don't break the bank for one player when we are not one player away from contending. (Suh)

Don't trade away draft picks for guys who have already played their best ball.

It will take some getting used to but it's good for me.

D Line would be solid. That would pretty much mean if Rak is signed, trade down for Scherff, Collins, or a corner. If Rak is not signed, edge rusher.

Actually if we pulled it off and got Knighton I MIGHT change my mind and say go ahead and draft Shelton... provided of course we also resigned Rak. Would give us a nasty D-line on paper.

Of course we would still need to find a starting RT and RG. And two safty's.... hell I think we might need to draft a water boy as well, that kid last year was sucking at the position.

So do you dump Hatcher in that scenario, or bring Paea off the bench?

Just sign Bobby Boucher and that covers our defense and water boy all in 1 signing.

You keep them all and have a rotation. If we are actually going to be this attacking defense we were supposed to be last year, and playing a one gap system... can never hurt to have too many pass rushing D-lineman at that point.

I'm tellin ya, this makes no sense. Chip has got something up his sleeve. He is positioning for something. Either that or he has hired Vinny as his asst GM.

There are some conditions attached apparently...

If Bradford doesn't start eight games the Eagles get a 4th rounder

If Bradford gets hurt again the Eagles get a 3rd rounder

I would take him on a team friendly deal. Take a little pressure off Amerson so he can recover from a down year last year.

Now for the love of all that is bright and shiny.. can we sign a safety PLEASE!!! Doesnt have to be today, but a starting caliber safety any time between now and say the draft would be nice.

Thanks for proving what I stated a little while ago. SM is going to make moves (& not make moves) that should work out over the long term. However - many Redskins fans will be unhappy since they are impatient & want to see some type of show during the offseason. Lots of fans also only agree with moves for players they are either familiar with or read about on some crap web-site.

Great job comparing the current FO to the one from last offseason & in jumping to a conclusion on the first official day of free agency. Your patience knows no limits. Amazing.

Now this thread actually became funny until you had to go and make it serious... Trust me SoCal, we get what SM is all about. None of us expect Suh, Graham, Revis or anyone else noteworthy to walk through Redskin doors but what we do expect is an improvement of the roster by eliminating "C" level type players as our "Speaker of the House" puts it, and not re-upping those "C" players again the following year. I know there is a "Plan" and method of madness to SM future picture of this team and FA is not where he lands the building blocks. We have all been patient, hell since 1993 we have been patient. To your point, it's time to build a winner here in DC and at this pace, it will be a methodical one.
