It seems to me that if they keep spending less than the the floor, then one of these years they'll have to spend more to get the average up

I'm not sure how the floor works, but however it works we can safely assume Mike Brown won't spend a penny more than he must to satisfy the rule, while others who really want to excel are becoming creative in finding ways to stay under the cap. What sucks is we are really close to joining the elite of the league but our owner refuses to take the final step to accomplish that goal.

It is my impression that they are consistently spending to the floor number without regard to the salary cap or rollover. that's just noise to the Bengals. It seems to me they even have Geof Hobson talking about the salary cap floor as if it was the cap itself.

You guys just don't recognize genius when you see it. The Bengals are saving their money and hoarding draft picks. They know that they don't have the qb to take them to the promise land, so they're spending all of their bank on advanced scouting for the future. They have Troy Blackburn and a crack team of numbers guys to lead them into the future. Look for a SB championship in either 2016 or 2017..... I believe this is what the profit June Chaney has referred to as "The Brown System" and we are right on track for bringing a championship home to "The Paul."

Brandon Ghee signs with San Diego.

We keep our own.

Glad to see him go though..... Guy should have been cut by now.

Steve Smith's a Raven. He's not the player he used to be, but he's still an upgrade for them as a #2 WR

The Ravens are known to have TONS of cap room. That's very different from the Bengals - We have the least amount of room in the league.

Flacco already got his contract extension. The Bengals have to plan for Dalton and Green so its much more complicated to manage the cap.

The Colts signed Hakeem Nicks. All of the other Division Champs in the AFC are making huge upgrades to their roster

The Colts have also signed Phil Cost and are apparently going to make a play for Alex Mack. They are working to improve some weaknesses in their offense.

I guess they don't have to worry about extending their franchise quarterback in the future.

The Pats singed Brandon Browner. I think they're getting huge, physical corners because that's the only krypotnite for the Manning offense. Just disrupt the timing of the routes and the whole thing falls apart

Can I get a Who Dey?

Well, it took about 15 years for Brown to start to "win" the regular season, or at least compete.

At this rate, another 7-8 years, we'll win a playoff game, and by 2035 we may return to a super bowl!

WHO DEY!

The Browns signed Ben Tate.

There's some legitimate talent on that roster. If they hit on a QB at 4 that team is scary
