Anthony Collins visiting the #Bucs today and may soon join former teammate MJ in Tampa. How the Hell is that possible? The Bengals had more cap space yet allowed both to leave and sign with the same team. I'm freakin' pissed!

Per Adam Schefter the Broncos are the favorites to sign DeMarcus Ware.

Our fans are priceless. Each and every year some of them convince themselves that the Bengals will participate in FA. And each and every year it seems to take them by surprise when we sit on our hands.

If anyone thought MJ was coming back, they were delusional.... And if we wanted to keep Collins we should have used the tag -- Wouldn't have been a horrible investment, except for the fact that our offensive captain doesn't really want to play guard (even though he says all the right things in the press).

The thing that hurts is losing Baby Hawk for nothing. It would have only cost a few million that we had to put a higher tender on him and make his signing less appealing. We didn't do it and now he'll walk - No reason to guarantee 5 million to our 4th receiver. Not looking forward to playing against him though.

I'm not surprised, just disappointed and annoyed.

By the way, it sounds like they plan to match the offer to Hawk.

The people who are wailing about not re-signing Collins or MJ will be the same people who would complain that the Bengals don't have enough to keep AJ & Burfict when the time comes. Teams like the Browns, Bucs, Raiders, they have a ton of space and ZERO players worth signing to mega deals like AJ and Burfict are going to require. The Bengals have players worth keeping, and have gotten solid deals. Eventually you have to pay up. The Bengals have identified players they want to keep with big deals. Dunlap and Atkins on the defense. They are going to pony up for AJ in a year, they are going to pony up for Burfict in a year (or two, not sure when his contract runs out). Like it or not, Dalton is getting extended here. You can't sign every damn player.

The cap usage thing is so 90's it's not even funny anymore. While the Bengals have been keeping money back, even the traditional media (that usually blasts Brown's thrifty spending) is saying they know why the Bengals are doing so with extensions for AJ, Burfict, and (Like it or not) Dalton just around the corner.

Can we at least wait until F/A is over, and the draft is over before we start planning for 2015/16 so we can at least see exactly what happens first. Maybe even give the season a shot and see how they do? Who knows, maybe the'll surprise. These are not the Bengals of the 90's, and recent track record (I think) has shown enough to at least wait and see what happens before burning my Jeff Blake jersey.

Can he play center?

That position is already taken care of. We plan to start a guy that hasn't played the position in the NFL.

It's still an upgrade though!

Mays will probably injure himself signing the contract.
