Salary cap is going up and teams have a need to pony up to secure "their" guy from the get go
I'm glad to see the Niners loosening up the FA purse strings
Can't say I know enough about Kwon.

I don't like this signing. Too much money

I thought the same when they signed McKinnon and Malcolm Smith.

For those who post that Lynch should be aggressive with the available salary cap, then thats what he's doing. You have to overpay for FA's and if you want a specific FA, then you really overpay.

On the other hand, if our team knows what they're doing, these are the signings that are supposed to be effective. They're supposed to pay off immediately and for a longer period by NFL standards.

I've read the 49ers are a potential landing spot for Bell. If that did happen McKinnon would have to be gone.

He's a good player I'm not sure he's worth the money especially coming off an injury.
He'll be out with an injury before the end of the pre-sesason; count on it.

Agree on the overpay. IDK why this is something they needed to jump on at the start of free agency.

He fits the profile perfectly for our system at weak side. The dude is 24 years old and has a Pro Bowl thinging to his resume. The ACL thing is a concern obviously...and the contract? In Paraag I trust.

If his knee checks out....I think this is a good signing.

Terrell Suggs is expected to sign with the Cardinals....another indication that they won't be going after Bosa?

I'm not sure about that a better indication would be trading Rosen.

Perhaps a little sign about Kwon Alexander and what he can offer....TB rushing yards allowed per game in 2018:

43

78
139
70

....then Kwon Alexander tears his ACL....

Yes, if....IF he returns to near 100%, then it won't be so bad. But the other thing we read is that he misses a high percentage of tackles? For a MLB that's bad at this level of cap cost. Anyway, we can only wait and see, look at it over 2-3 seasons.

He misses a lot of tackles in run support. Seems ok in pass coverage. PFF had him graded as average. The 49ers made him the highest paid middle linebacker in the league. Barnwell wrote about the signing here

From what I've read the 49ers seem to be interested in Roby, and Desir both CB.

And Alexander is no longer the highest paid inside linebacker.

The 49ers figure to have interest in Ziggy Ansah, whom 49ers executive Martin Mayhew selected in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft as general manager of the Detroit Lions. Moreover, new defensive line coach Kris Kocurek worked with Ansah. A six-year veteran, Ansah has been plagued by injuries. But in 2015 and ’17, when he was mostly healthy, Ansah recorded 14.5 and 12 sacks.

Then why the fuck are you considering him? Will these MFers ever learn?

It would have to be a contract with incentives based on being healthy and of course on field performance.
