The sound is always balls. It sounds like they are trying to drown out the crowd in favor of the announcers.

This is where ESPN and CBS excel over FOX, technology wise.

Yeah that's why European soccer always sucks on TV. They broadcast from a soundproof booth, so there's no crowd noise and it's like watching golf.
