I'm totally on-board with that. Recycling was one of the few non-negotiables for me when SO and I moved in together a couple years ago. She didn't prior to that because her apartment complex didn't offer it. Yay southern states!
And for the most part a lot of the recycling ends back up in the dump anyway because they never implemented the proper tool to handle it.

Putting him out there in the first place was a joke but they are playing off the BS that people think he cares.
Lol...Kasich more along the lines of the filler to show the crap “hey look at us we can work with Republicans”.

I have a black, I mean, Republican Friend

We've got an excessive heat advisory right now (the high today was 106 F), but my swamp cooler has broken down twice in less than a week. Most recently, it stopped working Sunday night, and I finally was able to get through to maintenance just now, and they might send someone out tomorrow morning.

It's been so hot in my apartment the last few days. My fans aren't doing much to help. I've barely been able to sleep for the heat. And, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to not provide either a repair or an accommodation for a swamp cooler or AC in Arizona within 24 hours during 100+ degree weather, but here I am, sweating.

I saw a discussion on this, and they would have to change the election rules to do this, and some would never let that happen. The rules state that you need to apply for a ballot before you get one.

That's true. But it really isn't that hard and our country has been pretty massively failing in the doing the right/smart thing department from no national plan to reopening businesses/schools to not even being able to implement a simple mask policy. As this thing has continued, governors have not shown leadership and state legislators are not being adaptive to the changed world. The most consistent flaw in democracy is a lack of adaptability in a crisis. And after nearly a century of expanding the voting franchise, dismantling criminal influence in democracy, improving racial/gender access, expanding accessibility, etc., I fear we have made a dark turn.

I didn’t think there could ever be a moment as awkward as Al and Tipper Gore kissing at the DNC.

Then this happened.

He probably didn't have a stranglehold on the rubber belt anyway, but yeah.

Kasich will be all over this. He'll be photographed changing his tires by Friday.

Buy Yokohama tires! America first!
Buy Goya beans! America first!

Also... hasn't this guy railed against cancel culture? No consistent principles, only consistently putting himself first... at the expense of any and all things that are good.
