I said the FDA was in their rights and acted appropriately to quickly approve the test. They had to be quick, and that could be at the risk of a flaw in it. When that flaw was uncovered, Trump's administration continued to sell them. There's no libel here. It was the Trump administration's call to keep distributing them.

It was also the Trump administration's priorities which may have slowed or prevented or otherwise underfunded the development and distribution of an alternate test, and the Trump administration's decision to not make public the flaw in the tests they were made aware of.

And I agree Birx isn't upholding her oath, because she's not correcting any misinformation. Fauci is, but he's doing it delicately, is my point. Because when you have a vindictive boss who fires people for making him look bad, and he can't do any good if he's fired.

In criticism of federal agencies which fall under the purview of the presidency, there is no such thing as libel of the president. He is responsible, ultimately, for everything that happens underneath him. And we would do well in general to stop making excuses for presidents, and hold them directly and seriously and aggressively responsible for everything that goes wrong, no matter how distant from them.
