Way to much to unpack here Benny but you should really get that butthole fixed after the BBC.

He is the worst. But the word here is... vetting!

You vet people before you hire them. You vet your statements before you make them when you're the President.

You represent the government to ALL your people and the country to the world, so every fleeting thought that goes through your head should NOT appear on the Internet like the uncle that email forwards you anything he finds funny. This is what happens when it does and whether you take responsibility for it or not, it IS your responsibility.

ANY leader of ANY company in this country would have been fired dozens of times over for the tweets he has made.

Vet things. It's basic practice. You stupid shit.

holy toledo

It looks like they bribed people for votes. That is terrible and I hope they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They do not deserve to be leaders and that's a shame for the people of Toledo.

See Trump supporters. See how easy it is to just hold someone responsible for terrible behavior! You just condemn it in no uncertain terms. It's so, so easy.

Resignation is still on the table, but that would mean Pence is in charge.

there was that tin foil theory that hed resign pence would take over and then given him a preemptive pardon lol

/wouldnt surprise me if he resigned. Hes been a life long quitter in business re bankruptcies and life re marriages

//but then there was talk of him walking away from his campaign just prior to the 2016 election when his polling was so bad and hillary looked to be the presumptive winner. The Russia ... errr ... People convinced him to stay in

Republicans are throwing this out now to see how it polls. The GOP is tribal and does not give a fuck about anyone in the club, what they care about is power. All they want is to continue leaving Mitch the Bitch in power to hold up anything that doesn't fill pockets of donors, and be sure they are the ones to put the next justice on the court.

Trump started a wave of nationalistic jibberish and they seized on it to stay in power. For years they have pretended to care about the second amendment, abortion and gay marriage to lock up those voters. And if polling shows them that dumping him in favor of someone who will encourage more people to come out and vote against Joe, they will do it. There are still tons of tribal republicans who will never vote for Joe, but can't stomach Trump and would maybe stay home in November. And if they are staying home, Lindsay, Mitch and all the others suffer.

They will turn on Trump like he turns on every one of his wives.

It might be fun to watch if Trump learned about his potentially dropping out on Fox News. He will lose his mind.

I agree with Howard Stern in his interview with Anderson Cooper some time ago, he said Trump didn't want to become president, he entered the race because NBC was cancelling 'The Apprentice' due to bad ratings and he wanted to generate some buzz for either a new show or launching some form of Trump TV. He is a reality tv president in that he's playing a role, but the kicker is his actions have real life consequences. Everybody was concerned about how he would fare if faced with a crisis (be it escalating world tensions or some kind of natural disaster), well if the last 5-6 months haven't showcased how terribly inept he is, nothing ever will.

His poll numbers were as bad or worse in 2016. I don’t know why people keep falling for this shit.

Maybe it’s hopeful GOP’ers reading & believing the numbers going to Fox and saying he’s looking for a way out but if it didn’t happen the first 50 times people reported it I can’t imagine why it would now.

I think it's a pretty big difference this time around as Trump is the incumbent and his polling numbers are either the lowest or 2nd lowest for an incumbent president this close to an election. Also, Biden is consistently above 50% in all the polls while Hillary was struggling to get to 50% (and when you consider that Hillary lost by ~70K votes in three states, percentage points certainly do come into play).

Lastly (and this shouldn't matter, but does in America), but Biden is a) white and b) a man. He also doesn't carry the Hillary hate baggage.

lol - I'm sure he can read, but he's lazy and at times I'm sure can't be bothered. Also, when he speaks, tweets etc., it showcases low level words. But the best words!!

Not to be too morbid but this is what I called for the guy once he got elected.

I thought an indictment would drive him to it but getting soundly rejected in the public eye might make him even more suicidal.

Come on. This is Biden right now:

And this is Clinton in October 2016:

And while, yeah, Clinton had negatives are we going to pretend 78 year old shoulder-rubbing, sentence-flubbing, hated by the left career politician Joe Biden doesn't have some legitimate concerns regarding getting turnout?

I'm not saying Trump would or wouldn't do anything because literally anything can happen regarding any subject at this point and I would no longer be surprised but go through the list of shit Trump has stayed in office for:

-Russia probe & Mueller Report
-Good people on both sides
-Getting impeached by the House
-COVID destroying the economy

And that's not to mention the stuff he was seen as "controversial" for before he was ever even elected.

Why would he be frightened into resignation/rejecting the nomination at this point if he stuck around for all of that? Further, it does a disservice to people he and his policies are actually affecting by the constant white noise of "oh, he doesn't actually want to do this" or "he's not taking this seriously"; it excuses him of whatever awful shit he's done.

I actually don't think he's going to resign, I just said that it's an option on the table. I think he's going to stick in this until the bitter end and is going to dispute the election results if he does indeed lose (I mean, he's already questioning the validity of mail-in votes).

Also, unless I'm reading this polling results that you posted incorrectly, I think they show Joe with a bigger lead than Hillary.
