Has anybody else had this problem?

Normally, the site remembers what threads you've entered and what posts you've seen. Threads with unread posts are bolded in the main view. I generally click on each bolded thread, and then click on the "first unread" button to go to the first unread post in the thread.

Well, I started noticing that sometimes the site forgets that I've read some posts. My fix for that : I click on the "Mark this forum read" after I finish reading all the threads. That worked great until, now, every couple of weeks, it forgets that I've read the most recent posts.

I'll read every post, click "mark this forum read", quit the browser. I come back (say) an hour later, start FireFox, go to the site, and the threads I've just read are marked unread (bolded), and when I enter a thread and click on "first unread" button, I go to the posts I read an hour ago. Sometimes there are new posts on the thread that I haven't read, and other times no - just the ones I already have read.

I've verified that I really am logged in in these cases.

The only way I've figured out to fix this is to erase all cookies associated with sportshoopla.com. I then quit firefox, start it up again, log in, and everything works fine for a couple of weeks.

Anybody else have this problem? Anybody know how to avoid it?

I have noticed that a but as well, but it is nothing new, and not restricted to SportsHoopla.

I think it is just an undocumented fracture of the whole idea.

Agreed, it's annoying.

It turns out that "logging out" and then back in also fixes the problem (temporarily).

And "of the whole idea" ? I have no idea what that means - I got nothing.
