That's too bad. He was a pretty decent backup option for Seattle and I believe started a full year (or close to one) and got over 3,000 yards passing.

Article said he crashed into a tree.. hopefully no alcohol/drugs involved.

He was our stop gap between Matt and Russell. He serves his purpose. No one expected him to lead us to some unrealistic heights but he did what Carroll needed him to do.

I remember watching him play and mainly bc one of my best friends is a huge Vikings fan. But I remember he started for the Vikings and Seahawks for a short stint.

The reports now are saying that Jackson lost control of his vehicle while trying to go around a bend doing 70mph in a 30mph zone. He then proceeded to smash into a road sign and crash into a ditch.

Look, in any case, someone dying at 36 is generally pretty sad news. This is also sad, and it's too bad that it happened. However, he was going 70... 70mph in a 30mph zone. Then tried going around a bend in the process, no less. That is insane. Honestly, it's lucky he didn't take anyone else out with him in the process of doing that. Driving at that level of stupidity is downright reckless, and extremely dangerous.

Again, it's sad to see a 36 year old fellow die so young. Having said that, what he did was akin to driving while hammered and then doing something similar while being lucky enough to only take himself out, rather than harming others, in the process. My sympathy for someone who does something like that is limited.
