I'm not denying that he likely had CTE, because there is no explanation aside from extreme drug use. But a bullet to the brain is going to cause more damage than getting hit on the football field.

Seau and Deurson had the wherewithal to shoot themselves in the chest and not kill anyone else.

I would imagine the damage from the bullet was localized so they could still analyze the brain.

Scary thing is they can't diagnose it 100% until after death. Hopefully there are some breakthroughs soon to diagnose it earlier.

Ugh. That is just terrible. He must have been damaged since college or even high school, because he didn't exactly have a long career (although as I type that, he probably got hit enough in the pros that would have contributed to a shorter career.)
