DT Jones says he's Seattle-bound on 3-year deal

I didn't see a thread on this yet, but WOW.

The deal is worth $51 million, according to The Score. That easily makes it the largest contract in terms of annual average the Seahawks have given to another team's free agent under coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider, topping the $9.5 million average of the deal they gave Uchenna Nwosu last year.

This is a very big signing. Now if we can get Wagner back, all of a sudden our D looks to be above average. Add in some hot talent in the draft, get back a healthy Jordyn Brooks and Jamal Adams, and we could be looking at making a run next season.

This is a very big signing. Now if we can get Wagner back, all of a sudden our D looks to be above average. Add in some hot talent in the draft, get back a healthy Jordyn Brooks and Jamal Adams, and we could be looking at making a run next season.

I think we need more before we can say we have an above average defense. But if guys like Taylor, Bryant, Woolen all step up and we hit on a couple of draft picks we could get there.

Considering that he and Geno only account for a $20m cap hit combined is insane. If we can land Bobby, make a trade (it’s what JS does), and load up in the draft we will take a huge step going into next year.

Agreed... He seemingly always stood out for the Broncos D when watching them on TV... Seem to always be in or around the play...
