Rodon still has yet to make his Spanks debut. He was placed on the 60-day earlier this month, but he has been out long enough that he is already eligible to come off the IL so that isn’t as big a move as it seems at first glance.

I knew the idea of signing him long term was risky but I am surprised he hasn't been able to pitch this year. Sad for him.

I totally missed this…

And he has been killing it for SD in his first 11 games, going yard 5 times and knocking in 12.

I didn't see that either! Let's see, the Gary Sanchez saga so far . . .
Signs minor league deal with Giants, sucks at AAA, allowed to walk
Signs minor league deal with Mets, kills it in AAA, called up and sucks with the big club, allowed to walk
Claimed by Padres and kills it at the big league level.

At this rate, he will be traded to the Philles and become an All-Star.

Look who started the 2023 season really slowly, got really hot in the past month and got pulled from a game yesterday due to injury.

I'm sure you never saw that coming.
The problem has been (for Belt) that HE never saw them coming either.

Wasnt he the one who Scutaro hurt with the errant throw between innings in one of his only games in ‘14?

:noidea:

Belt is obviously injury prone. I do wonder what kind of career he could have had if he could only have stayed healthy most season. Not HOF but much better counting stats than he has posted.

Sam Long picked up the save on Saturday and another on Sunday. He could be a dark horse to represent Oakland in the All Star Game.

Right now, if you ask someone "who last appeared in a big league game from the Giants' signed picks in the 2007 draft?" The answer would be Bumgarner. However, if the question is "who was last on a big league roster from the Giants' signed picks in the 2007 draft?" The answer would be Culberson.

Rodon made his Yankee debut last night vs the Cubbies.

5.1 IP, 4 H, 2 BB, 2 R, 2 K

Not a bad outing, even if he did take the loss.
