Wow. He was awful. Missing a 46 yard Fg plus kicking the ball out of bounce while you are in a kicking competition. Inexcusable for a veteran. Im kind of glad. I want to see Hocker win the job. It so obvious that he has the stronger leg.

be careful what you wish for. Forbath did have a terrible night, but he has proven to be a pretty consistent kicker. He just doesn't have the leg strength. Hocker, however, was more of a kick off specialist in college, he didn't handle the regular FG duties on his team. That should tell you something. While I wish forbath had a stronger leg, when the game is on the line and we need a 40 yarder to win, something tells me Forbath will end up being more reliable that Hocker. This competition will probably go down to the wire.

If Hocker doesn't miss a FG in pre-season he wins the job. That is how bad Forbath was tonight.

If Hocker doesn't miss its over. The KO's go to Hocker. The only way Forbath has a chance is that if Hocker bombs at FG attempts at practice and in games. Forbath was never known to hit the 50+ plus yard FG. He was known to be automatic from 45-46 yards in. He has been way too inconsistent from last year and in this years training camp. I would roll the dice with the rookie b/c hitting 50 plus yard FG's and kicking touchbacks is worth more than a veteran who cant do either.
