I don't give a flying fuck about technicalities. I've put my faith in him till the very end. Well the very fucking end was this god damned fucking game. He has proven he isn't a winner. End of story. Find me a MOTHER FUCKING WINNER GOD DAMNIT.

I wasn't ripping on you for your statement.........you asked us what Watson should have done differently........I told you one example of what I feel was very obvious that he should have done differently.

His play calling throughout the game was questionable at times..........I felt he called a great first 20 minutes, including the excellent play action call on 4th and 1 to Mike McNeill......great call.

After that I was scratching my head many times. Alex Henery can kick a ball inside of a dome (no wind) a long ways........and he can do it accurately. Where we were at on the field, I would have bet $1,000 he would have made that kick.

When you have 1 minute to play, and a kicker with that kind of leg, you have to play smart football........you can't get all risky and that is what Watson did. He let a struggling Martinez attempt to throw a pass there. It was just a stupid ass call and it was about the 4th time tonight that we were in field goal range and ended up out of field goal range.

He may have been able to kick close to a 70yd kick. Instead, wats lets Mr. fumble {Taylor} keep the ball in his hands to lose yardage. Amazing!

There's too many posts for me to catch up on the whole thread so I might be repeating but to your (the OP) question what could watson do?

How but coaching the fucking quarterbacks? We are in the red zone and have the best freaking field goal kicker in the country and our quarterback throws the fucking ball into a crowd of defenders. I know he is a freshman but he is a freshman who has played a full season and that was a stupid stupid mistake. A little bit of coaching prevents stupid mistakes like that.

Or how about how he locks on one receiver and if he doesn't get open he tries to run with no where to go. ALlt he time he has another receiver just trying like hell to get his attention so because he made himself open for his quarterback when he saw he was in trouble. Coaching! Don't lock on a receiver. Check all your reads and then throw the ball away if there is nothing instead of taking a 10 yard loss!!!

Or how about having a fucking backup quarterback for when your starter has a bad day?
We have 3 quarterbacks who were touted as great when recruited and get here and go to shit. Did all these quarterbacks just not fit our system? Did they just decie to take the scholarship and ride through col, lege as easy as possible? Do they not give a shit about winning? No every one of them are team players (well the jury is out on Taylor) but they don't have the tools to be effective.

COACHING COACHING COACHING Our quarterbacks suck because our quarterbacks coach sucks. Plain and simple.

Do the offensive issues end at the OC? Not at all, but the sure as fuck START there!!!!!

At the beginning of the season when we were trying figure out who was the starter Bo kept jokingly saying that they could play 10 QBs. Well I believe we have 8 on the roster. You mean to tell me that our OC and QB coach is incapable of getting even one QB with 2 healthy legs ready to play? He also calls plays that continue to not fit the plays HE pits out on the field. Continue to call a zone read with a one legged QB where there is no threat of the QB running. When Cody is in there he still runs the zone read with a guy that just mentally can't run it. He does not only know the zone read, that is not what he ran at Colorado. That is not what he watched Callahan call when he was here. He is just not a good play caller and he needs to be fired.

And if Pelini keeps him after this season then my venom will move straight to Bo. It is now up to him to rectify the problem. If he does not then it becomes on him from here on out.

I give Watson credit only for calling the wildcat, and the quick stants to McNeil when the Sooner linebackers blitzed last night, but if Watson wanted to throw the ball exclusively, we had two quarterbacks who were taller, and could have done better IMO. If Martinez was a run / pass threat last night (clearly he was not), then it would have been logical to keep him in. We were spoiled when TO was calling plays with Solich, they often showed muliple plays from multiple sets. I just don't see Watson really trying to change up enough to confuse the opposing defenses. The wrinkle where Burkhead threw to Martinez would have been great, but the execution wasn't there. I still feel that Watson is uncomfortable with opening up the play book for whatever reason. By condemning Watson, I am also condemning Pelini as he is ultimately responsible for getting the offense fixed. I just don't think Bo can trust Watson to get that job done right.

Jed, it doesn't matter how much venom that you or any other NU fan has. The simple truth is unless another team hires Watson for a head coaching position, or offensive coordinator position, we better get used to him stinking up the NU sidelines.

Im finally pissed off less enough now to post again. Some of you say how you can't sleep the night before a game, Im the opposite where I cant sleep after a bad beat, and yet another one

I haven't liked Watson as the OC ever, and as our QB coach? Well we can see the results of that as well. I will be pissed off more than I was last night If this jerkoff is still with the team again next year.

I don't know. Pelini does not like to lose. And he does not like mediocrity. I expect some changes.
