What should Watson have done different. Should he not have fumbled the ball? Should he not have thrown a fucking interception in the end zone when he had nobody open. Should he not have stayed back there in the backfield forever and forever amen and taken sack after sack?

I'm just as much of a Watson basher as the next fan, but this loss had nothing to do with Watson. Honestly, I think he called a fairly decent game. I was getting frustrated since Martinez couldn't run with using those stupid slow developing end sweeps. Overall I thought the play calling was aggressive enough, just Martinez couldn't throw a pass worth a fuck and him and everyone else that touched the ball were putting them on the turf when rushing.

I don't know if it was him not playing much because of the injuries or if he is still hurt, but Martinez looked like deer in headlights in the backfield. When his receivers were covered, he just stood there instead of like early in the year of running the ball right of way and picking up 10-15 easy yards when the secondary had coverage.

Fact is Martinez had a shitty game. Is that Watson's call to stick with him or does Bo have any questions to answer about that?

I agree, but do you think Watson makes those decisions in a vacuum? During the game thread I was advocating staying with the wildcat. Does Watson get to decide which qb to play? I'm asking honestly, I don't know.

I think Watson should have seen earlier that Martinez wasn't going to be effective tonight..

I don't know. I've wondered that as well.

Why can't Nebraska hold onto the football?

Isn't this fundamental practice? They've had like 38 fumbles this year. It's signature Watson offense...

I'm sorry, but this is the second year in a row that we saw a very limited offense in terms of play variety called. Oklahoma looked more complicated on offense tonight. Does wide zone read handoff left and wide zone read handoff left count as two different plays? The zone read offense is simple to defend just watch the Nebraska vs Northwestern game from a few years back or the South Dakota State/Texas games. Martinez looked way too slow tonight compared to Rex. Martinez also looked like he was crying during the game. T Martinez also panicked way too much.

Watson should have:

1. run more wildcat
2. run more of those i formation play action passes to the TE
3. stopped trying to run zone read with Taylor, in fact Taykor shouldn't have finished that game

Got the Christmas tree up, drinking more beer, just a man in solitary with his own thoughts....

Here's one....Did Bo's pulling Martinez out of the Texas game when Martinez wasn't the problem lead to him leaving Martinez in when clearly Martinez wasn't doing anything positive at all in this game?

Before I start I have to say that I am really pissed and you write this so I am taking my anger out on you since I don't have Watson's number.

As for what you wrote, this is dumbest fucking thing I have read in a long time. We all know who runs the offense. It is the dumbass named Watson. He has absolutely no clue on how to continue to call plays that are constantly working. He obviously has no clue how to coach enough QBs to be able to play that have 2 good legs. He is so arrogant and dumb that he obviously thinks he can win with essentially 10 guys on offense because with Taylor on the field right now it is like 10 vs 11. Doe Watson call plays to fumble it? Does Watson call plays to get intercepted? Of course not but he I plainly incapable of devising an offensive game play to find the strengths and hide the weakness of our offensive talent. He is a fucked up idiot that shouldn't even be allowed on the team bus or plane back to Lincoln!!!!!!

This is true, but the buck stops with Bo and since he can't see what has kept this team from winning a couple of Big 12 titles, and maybe even being in the national title game this year {The offensive side of the ball} then his days may be numbered here.

I know I'm a relative newbie still, but damn, you couldn't have taken a couple minutes to read any of my previous posts which I'm sure were far more fucking dumb.... I'm hurt dude... :D

Here's something more dumb....if Jesus Christ was the OC, if the players turn the ball over 4 times against a quality team like Oklahoma it's gonna be fucking tough to win a football game...

...but hey blaming some dumb shmuck offensive coordinator works for some...

I don't like Watson and never have, but I have to be honest when I evaluate the team and the coaches.

Not a chance we give Bo away..........if it comes down to it, TO will flat out tell Bo that he needs to make a change on offense. I suspect that this will happen.

The best possible example in that game was on the final drive. We were in field goal range easily.........best kicker to ever play the game. All we had to do was have Rex run it straight forward and try to pick up few more yards.

Easiest play call for anyone in the world to make.......Watson put the ball in Martinez's hands and it resulted in another fumble and a huge loss. That was on 2nd down.

Just attrocious play calling.

LOL, and you were the last one on this board to still support Watson. I don't like his play calling in general at all, but it's fucking horse shit to blame this loss on him. We, or at least I was pissed at Watson being too fucking conservative. Now, the best example of him fucking that game was him not being conservative enough to sit on the ball and play for a very long field goal, automatic for Henery, to give us OT?

Players didn't make plays on our offensive side of the ball...

I for one wont shed a tear when Watson is fired, but y'all are naive if you think our problems on offense end there...

I wasn't ripping on you for your statement.........you asked us what Watson should have done differently........I told you one example of what I feel was very obvious that he should have done differently.

His play calling throughout the game was questionable at times..........I felt he called a great first 20 minutes, including the excellent play action call on 4th and 1 to Mike McNeill......great call.

After that I was scratching my head many times. Alex Henery can kick a ball inside of a dome (no wind) a long ways........and he can do it accurately. Where we were at on the field, I would have bet $1,000 he would have made that kick.

When you have 1 minute to play, and a kicker with that kind of leg, you have to play smart football........you can't get all risky and that is what Watson did. He let a struggling Martinez attempt to throw a pass there. It was just a stupid ass call and it was about the 4th time tonight that we were in field goal range and ended up out of field goal range.
