If you could get rid of...

A) The old people at games who complain when you stand up too much and aren't loud

B) The younger generation (post Osborne) who just don't give a shit as much as you do since they haven't experienced excellence

C) The guy who wears rose colored glasses and expects a Championship (Conference or National) EVERY single year

Who would it be?

Or, in which order?

I agree with getting rid of A.

B, I suppose I'm from that generation? I saw the excellence but I wasn't old enough to understand that what was happening wasn't how things always had been or always would be. I don't think I care any less than older people who were able to more fully understand the 90's.

As for C, shouldn't that be the goal every year? I understand our recruiting isn't always the best, but with the program and resources we have, we SHOULD be competing for a conference championship every year. Obviously we won't WIN one every year, but that should always be the goal.

On this note, I heard them whining on Unsportsmanlike Conduct today that we have too many night games and it's gonna hurt attendance. Any chance of that happening? I just don't see it. There's nothing like the atmosphere at a night game.

well personally speaking ill be blacked out and passed out by the time the game actually starts….so i at least won't be in attendance

but personally (i know y'all will get on me about this but i don't give a fuck) i prefer watching the games on tv anyways….i think its easier to see the game a whole….the 2 games i went to last year i stayed for the first quarter-ish then left and watched the rest on tv. don't get me wrong i love the game atmposhere but i just prefer to be able to watch the game closely which is much much easier on tv…being shoved up in the south corner sucks

I will be at the night game in Evanston this year. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves in 2012.

This time, there will be anywhere from 3 to 6 of us. Working on getting the two from Lincoln to commit to the long trip. I have the Lincoln wife committed to the trip, but the younger brother will be the tough one.

In response to the OP, I will get rid of C.

A. Old people always complain. About EVERYTHING. A lot of old people are just downright mean.

B. Most of the younger generation doesn't get a lot of things that their parents do. But that is the nature of kids and parents. My kids don't care about football at all, even though my wife and I are maniacal about football.

C. I want people that are realists and can apply logic.

This year, Nebraska has road games in Fresno, East Lansing, Evanston, Madison, and Iowa City. Two of those teams beat Nebraska in Lincoln in 2013, one team has played Nebraska tough every year and if it were not for miracles Nebraska might be 0-3 against them, one team uses the Jet Sweep ad infinitum and the Nebraska D acts like it had never seen it before each time, the last team seems to have a lot of criminals on it and they seems to have a QB that can fling it. Nebraska will be 9-3 this year.

A, B, C in that Order.

A- Losing the Old folks makes room for a younger more energetic crowd. I mean lets face it Lincoln Nebraska isn't a tough place to walk into and win at. We don't have that electric of a crowd, and I can't really remember a time our crowd had that much of an impact in a game.

B- Idc if the younger generation doesn't appreciate the huskers as much as most do as long as they're loud and having a good time at the games. If they're load and making it difficult for the opposing team to win, I could give two shits less if they're a die hard or not. Also, I don't blame them....they grew up watching Callahan and some really shitty pieced together teams.

C-Should be the goal every year and I consider myself a realist. Nebraska should ALWAYS be a front runner to win the conference. National Championships every once in awhile...but no excuse why Nebraska shouldn't be winning conference championships or competing for them on a consistent basis. We're a blue blood of college football.

Dammit chuck I went to every game and sat within 10 rows of the front every time. Dont talk to me about jammed up in the south corner

And dammit also, i dunno how ye can knowingly be blacked out by game time and be ok with dis.

In response to OP, B are my least favorite.. those kids my age whove never even watched Tommie or the game of the century and done they homework.. smh

The old folk are bad too, but they can usually be ignored.

I am letter C

I wouldn't get rid of any of them. But I'll take a lot less A, a little less B, and some more C. Because at least those delusional fuckers will be loud and easy to talk to. *puts on scarlet colored glasses*

I prefer night games. The sun isn't beating down on you, the B.O. isn't as bad, and the Runza farts don't linger so much.

If peeps decide not to go, it'll cheapen up tickets for those that don't get to go as often as they'd like.

If you're "blacked out" by game time, how are you even gonna watch it on TV?

When I go to games, I DVR them and watch the TV version the next day. You get both perspectives.

Personally, if we could get rid of the old folk at games, there is a good chance I would attend way more games. My biggest complaints about games is that you are packed in there like sardines, and for a tall guy like myself, it sucks. My knees are constantly in somebody's back, and I constantly have somebody else's knees in my back. Which then means I would prefer to stand the entire game, (which I would regardless). However you have stupid fans who want to sit the entire game and stand in between quarters and at halftime. :L

Shit, I'm with Chucksker. My liver is thanking me once college football season is over. I usually have to watch Big Red Wrapup to figure out who scored and when.
