We'd all like something better, but there's only so much that could be done. Pace went all-in on Mitch so he built the team up around him. Looks like a bad move in hindsight so the ability to pivot is limited.Foles will get hurt.
Foles not being all that good to begin with (albeit better than what we were throwing out there last year) is not setting the bar nearly high enough.
Maybe, maybe not. Considering Foles' injury history and career mostly as a backup, it'd be wise to have a wide open competition and let the best man take the job, whoever it is. If that's Foles then great, or if it's Trubisky then fine. The hope is that the competition makes both better, not that one wins the job because the other sucks worse.The Bears seem to have moved on from Trubisky.
