First, they did sign for 5 years. That’s the length of the contract IF THE CLUB WANTS IT TO BE. Second, the numbers ARE in the contract. Oh, the ACTUAL number may not be in the contract but the precise FORMULA used to CALCULATE the number is in the contract therefore “the number is in the contract”.

You’re out of your league here dopey.

You lose again.

And if they don’t want it to be they stick with the contract they signed. So they signed a four year deal and they team can keep it at four year. The team doesn’t drop the 5th year, they add it. You lose

So how much did Zeke sign for his 5th year if he signed for 5 year contract. He didn’t. He signed for four years and Dallas May keep it at 4 years
at the end of the 3rd year the team has to decide if they want to exercise their 5th year option as the "One" contract states. So before year 4 starts the player will know what he is making in that 5th year. he is held accountable to this team for 5 years.

you cant add an addendum to a contract without a signature.
Therefore the 5th year was already included in the original contract.
Making it a 5 year contract.
You lose :boink:

Oh wait, out of 750 picks you found I was off one which didn’t change my point one iota. You’re a scrub cause originally you agreed with me but when the fools of the Hoop come posting you act like they sign 5 year deals and they don’t or we would know what they make their 5th year
again, you were wrong, and ignoring things.........u said you were NEVER wrong

@PhoenixEagles1 why is it when you squeeze apples and oranges you get tomato juice:scratch:

Your example of someone paying SP $100k is a terrible comparison unless you enjoy getting slapped around?

The corprate world is totally different. In your scenario the individual would likely sign a non-compete clause for the four years. If he didn't sign that clause he'd be able to look for other employment from day one. With no consequences. In the NFL you can't do that. It's called tampering. The team owns his rights at a maximum of 5 years if they so choose to invoke the option year which is already in the ORIGINAL contract.

Hey man im just here for the ride

I know brother. It’s all fun and games and I’m not directing it at you. I deserve to be piled on for being a jerk off most of the time but it’s so wack that people all band together and try to act like I’m wrong when I wasn’t. I even got guys saying “I’m a professional contract writer” and SteelersPride agreeing with me then when he sees all the fools disagreeing with me he changes his stance to run with everyone else. Good night and I’m sure we will fight again brother
