So why arent these reporters getting fired for not saying its a 5 year deal. DING DING DING. Reporters are reporting the facts. Sam Darnold got a 4 year deal. No one knows if it will be 4 years or 5 years so it isnt a 5 year deal.
no one has facts to the 5th year. it isnt possible to know those #'s in their rookie year.

YEP... and the contract would say they signed a 4 year deal with the team having an option year or not to pick up the option. The reporter wouldnt lose his job because the simply take the average of the top players at their positions 1-10 for top 10 picks and 3-32 for picks 11 and below,

Keep trying.....

Look. Let me help you out.
*Schmoop extends olive branch*

Quit looking at it as an option for the team to keep him an extra year.
Start looking at it a teams right opt out of the 5th year if they choose.

That might help you understand why it is a 5 year contract.

*PE1 extends an olive branch*

Quit looking at it as an option for the team to NOT keep him an extra year. Start looking at it as the team has the right to add a 5 year contract if they choose.

That might help you understand why it is a 4 year contact.

No one backs me cause it’s the same 5 idiots over and over and over.

I don’t consistently contradict myself.

I’ve never been proven wrong. No one proved me wrong or on Centers. They posted their opinions but I wasn’t wrong.
Remember when u argued about dak not throwing over ten yards. Then we’re provided actual proof he did. Then you changed your story. Then got mad about it and said “I was close, I can’t believe we’re arguing over a yard” yet you were wrong.

I remember that. I also
Remember you just saying you were never proven wrong. Well u were wrong there too, again.

Thanks brother for the olive branch.
Problem is it was already added to the contract. Which is why whichever way you look at it. it is a 5 year contract.

Just trying to help because CBS cares!

When the contract is signed, the terms are agreed upon are for 5 years.

No they aren’t. The terms and money is specifically for 4 years. At the end the team can say it’s now a 5 year deal or they can just keep it a 4 year deal. That’s why it’s a 4 year deal with the team having the right to keep it at four years if they want or not.

Like I said earlier and you may have missed...
If your boss says I’m gonna give you a 4 year $400,000 contract. After 4 years I’ll let you know if I want to keep you for another year or not do you go home and tell your family you just signed a 5 year deal? No!

Every player selected in the first round of the NFL Draft will automatically have a Fifth-Year Option added in his contract. This option cannot be separately attached to the player contract.

The option allows a team to retain a player’s rights for five years rather than the standard four, which is the bonus of selecting a player in the first round.

Just look at how many pages he dug his heels in on this issue even in the face of multiple posters honestly trying to explain it to him. How did he react to that? He belittled one poster who expressed a specific knowledge about contracts and labeled others as simply piling on to him.

It’s really becoming obvious just how truly fucked in the head he really is.

1. I never said they didn’t get a 5th year option. Everyone knows that. But that’s exactly what it is... an option.

The players sign for four years. Down the road teams say if they want to take the extra year option or not. Players sign 4 year contracts and we see if the team adds a year or not. I never ever ever said there wasn’t a 5th year option. I know there is but players sign a 4 year contract and later on we find out if it stays four years or if it is 5. Zeke, Darnold, Barkley all signed for four year. We shall see if it stays 4 or not.

You’re wrong.

Yeah... tell me where. I never said there wasn’t a 5th year option. But we do know they sign for four years. We have no idea if it stays four years or if the teams turn it into a 5th... so I’m not wrong.
