Not much later he calls again about Richards being confirmed,and it's WTF?

It's definitely not happening, but it would be interesting to see Stamkos in the orange and black lining up against Crosby 6 times a year in a heated rivalry... especially since Richards and Carter are gone.

If they are far apart, that means it's even less possible he could sign with the Flyers or any other top contender who is facing cap isssues/considerations. He'll probably get $9 millionish per. Nobody is going to fault Yzerman for matching an offer for Stamkos. He could lose his job if he gets away. I'm sure he's well aware of this fact.

I think if versteeg gets moved in the next day or so, we may see an offer sheet thrown at stamkos.


I think most eastern teams are aware of this and would be doing the flyers a favor to take versteeg off our hands for anything right now.
