I don't really think the FLyers traded awasy two 26 yr olds that were the face of the organization just to allow Pronger to win a Cup now. If anything, they are further away from the Cup this year with 21 year olds on the roster. I would look at Lavi as a big reason for these moves. He needs complete control of his room, hence Zherdev not pl;aying last year, and some of these other moves. For once, a team chose to keep the coach and not the players. We will see if it works.

see i disagree with you both. drury isn't the only one to underachieve in New York, i'm going to say it was a product of a terrible contract that the Rangers handed him and an equally awful place to go. For the right price why wouldn't we want this guy? best case scenario he gives us another guy capable of 15 goals and 20+ assists, with great defense. worst case he gets injured and you could say the same thing about gagne, whom the kings just gave a big contract to 3.5 a year. i want drury at 1.5 or less, no problem.

Well, they have to either waive SHelley or Sestito. BOth need to pass through waivers now. I would Sestito at least has a chance to stick, or the Flyers wouldn't have traded for him last year, knowing his waiver status.
