i'll agree to disagree.. i think he's really overrated.. but maybe theres something about montreal that makes me instantly go 'overrated'.. cause i think carey price is terrible, but he gets high praise all the time

i like having cockiness on my team, but if youre going to be a cocky ass, you gotta be really really good.. and i just dont think subban is really really good

Yeah I guess we will, I also like Price a lot. :)

Just think about it. We get PK, draft his brother Jordan next year, and acquire Luke Schenn. Maybe even draft Malcom into the system.

We'll be set. :D

or be able to back it up. he must of went to sydneys school of courage, fighting guys with the refs close or they have their backs turned.

also, 4706 how can you not want lucic? the guy is the epitomy of a power forward.

What do you think about a Lucic for Bob and JVR swap.

IMO that's too much.. i love lucic, but he's peaked at about 60 points.. jvr was on pace for about 50 this year.. jvr has some room to grow (whether he does or not remains to be seen), i think lucic is what he is at this point.. his physicality and all-around bad-assness isn't enough for bob to be the other part of the trade.. IMO

I see youve been hitting the bottle early. i think we would r*pe the bruins in this deal. The scoring and points would be just about even if JVR pick up his offensive game, Lucic all around game is all almost star worthy while JVR would only dream of an all star game and Bob would be a salary dump so we could free up some extra cash for Gee. We have a goalie signed for 9 years what do we need Bob for. Id love to know what Sly thinks about this trade.

we dont need bob, but if the points are "just about even", you're basically trading bobrovsky for an enforcer.. i think we can get more than that for bob

Bob for an enforcer that's good enough to play second line minutes plus a couple of million dont forget that we could use that money,

no.. the jvr portion of lucic (the points) is good enough to play on the 2nd line, not the bob part (bad-assness)

we could use the money though, thats true. but when you look at it it's more like saving 800k then it is 2 mil.. (bob 1.75 hit - new back at 900k)

Lucic only makes 4 mill so there more to be saved with JVR's new contract kicking in.

Nah. Lucic is still fine tuning his playing. He scores points, he's not physical. He's too physical, he's not scoring. At points he meshes the two and is extremely beneficial. I believe he can do this all season next year. I like JVR, but have no interest in Bobsky. I would not go for this trade, nor would the Bruins.

We have a pretty solid backup in Khudobin if TT does indeed take a year off or whatever. I really don't see Looch being traded, he is just too much of a face for the team. I honestly don't even know where we are at as far as our roster and contracts. I know we re-signed Kelly and Campbell which is awesome.

I would think if TT sat down this year BOB may even have a chance to start on a defensive team like Boston. We are run and gun and leave our goalies out to dry you cant really judge BOB yet. If he was on the Rags with all of their players blocking shots he would be the new "KING"

Maybe it is because he is not a Flyer, but I am find him to be overrated. Then again I do just despise him as a Bruin, so that could be hurting how I look at him.

Carle and Flyers working on deal.

According to sources close to the situation, Matt Carle’s deal with the Philadelphia Flyers is expected to be announced on July 1. Although I’m told a finalized deal is NOT in place at this time, a final agreement is close.

It is believed that Carle and his camp will be looking for a deal for three or more years at over $12.75-million.

Thought I'd post this as it looks like it is going to get done (as expected). But the bold is a bit ambiguous - his market value is around $5m/yr.

from all my readings this week it looks like he's expected to sign somewhere between 4.25 and 4.75.. which is solid considering that 5mil market value

ugh gross

??

carle for that is a solid deal IMO.. he's probably going to be 2nd or 3rd most covetted dman in free agency this year (suter/garrison)

I would like 4.25 better than 4.75 but either way im good with those numbers.
