He starts out his quote by saying Coots alone isn't the difference between winning and losing and then goes on to make his point that he is. This is kind of like a back handed compliment

Getting a taste of the playoffs is always a good thing for a player's/team's development.

It's a whole new speed and playing the same guys for 4-7 games in a row is a new experience as well.

The earlier these guys see where their intensity level needs to be to win playoff series the better.
