He's not there yet missing training camp hurts and he can't shoot yet. Explains why he's bad in his own zone too you just can't flick the switch.
Agreed about Mark Streit - even though the PP didn't score(I really thought they were going to get one tonight), he looked really quick and was moving really well - they have to move around on the PP and not be staticStars
1. Read - goal and an assists but easily the hardest working player on the ice tonight.
2. Mason - only goal allowed was off Coburn's shin.
3. Coburn - aside from deflecting one in I thought he played a pretty strong game. Nice goal as well.
Honorable mentions: I love timonen, but I thought streit looked solid on the first pp unit. Thought he had a fairly strong game overall actually. Talbot is a warrior. Grossmann had like 42 blocked shots. Lecavalier had a fantastic first half, didn't notice him much after that though. I thought coots looked solid as well.
Goats:
1. Giroux - looks downright pissed off at how things are going for him. Took a bad penalty or two and shouldve been called on that cross check too. Ease up bud, it will come
2. Pouliot- pay attention man, that could've been bad
3. Simmonds - just an overall dumb game from him. Felt like he held the puck when he shoulda passed and passed when he shouldve held the puck.
They're pressing too hard on the PP, I think - if they settle down they will be fineFully agree with you guys everyone played well for the most part very impressed with Coburn, Grossmann and Mason. PP was a little better but I still can't believe that they can be this bad. Overall if they had any luck they score 4-5 so that's promising.
Pouliot is a complete tool that was bad and I'll give Talbot the bad ass man award tonight. Wow for coming back and killing penalties in the end....unless that was Lappy dressed up?

Breezed thru game on pvr. Looks like they had a lot of good chances. 2 posts. A few other point blank misses.
The bounces will come and this win hopefully will let them breathe a bit.
See Couturier 4 feet from the net shooting one foot wide? I mean, come on. Loosen that grip a bit, boys. That's Jeff Carter territory there.
ya that was pretty bad. I like the way he has played the last few games though
That line of Simmer, couts and read needs to stay together
I feel like even when we gave up a goal, we still had control of this game - I felt good about that because the confidence was there for them tonight - the confidence is keyGiroux and Vin were dynamite
Mason was solid
I think Couturier looked great
Bonus points for scoring more than two goals
Admittedly the 2nd goal Mason let in was a bit weak
I'd like to see us play a more complete, dominant game. There were flashes of it, but tonight was not enough. We are getting there though
Oh yeah, Streit looked good
