I'm so happy for Mase looking back it seemed that everyone was hoping he'd fail and he's turned the trade into one of the better ones that Homer has made. Love the stability in net now. Apparently Parent had all a chat with him and he's went nuts ever since....

He played great early had a tough stretch and back to being the Mase from last season and early this year. He's playing with confidence cutting angles better controlling rebounds better and playing much tighter where nothing is leaking through these days.

I think MAse is really beginning to turn a corner into the next level. He'll need another year or two, but he is turning into that net minder we have not had in a very long time. Emery is a nice back-up having a cup in his pocket already and Bernie's presence is really rubbing off on Mase and the team. I like what is slowly transpiring and with rest with the Olympic break, I think we may have something here.

I think it helps that he plays almost every game now and can get in a rythm. Berube finally is using him right.

Meszaros for two excellent assists
Giroux is on fire and he continued his great play.
Emery had a superb game. Almost a shut-out.

1) Ray Emery - He was amazing today, a huge reason for them getting these two points
2) Claude Giroux - Another strong game for him, scoring a goal
3) Andrej Meszaros - After a short hiatus, he came back in the lineup and was really good

While Giroux was a beast yesterday I thought Couturier was a monster as well.

Yes...love watching Rinaldo set the tone early by laying the wood. He gets his whole team and crowd into the game. He has also cut down on the stupid penalties.

I didnt realize how much he meant until a few weeks ago when he was hurt we were a far different team.

1) Wayne Simmonds - He was tremendous on this game and was big on the power play
2) Sean Couturier - His work against Crosby and Malkin was outstanding
3) Steve Mason - He made some really big saves later in this game when the Penguins had more pressure

It's easy to forget that this kid is 21 years old for another 9 months when he's playing at this high of a level. It is really something to behold and I truly hope he is a Flyer for life.

Patience is really starting to pay off with this young group of forwards that we have here.
