for the #2 spot if Alabama beats Georgia. Obviously if Georgia wins the SEC it is righfully the Bulldogs since they beat the Gators. But looking at SOS the Gators are much higher than Alabama.

Last year Alabama was #2 for not winning their division nor conference, yet were given a title shot. But they were given a shot because of their SOS. Well this year, Florida is the one with the better SOS over Alabama.

I would be pissed if I were UF fans, but at the same time, if they had of beat UGA, then they would be in.

Even though we were fortunate enough to get back into the title game last season...UF fans can kinda see how we felt last season. We had another top team in our division, we lost that game, and all we heard was how we couldn't even win our own division.

UF is one of the best teams in the country at 11-1, having beaten 4 top teams, but people will say "You couldn't EVEN win your own division..OH MY GOD!"...Sounds kinda like they just suck, and completely ignores everything else, like the fact that the #3 team is in their division.

You can't really worry about what the lesser conference, jealous fucks say. The SEC is a shootout every season and we all usually get nicked. UGAy was on fire that day and we were somewhat retarded...and still didn't lose by much. To get through the toughest SoS in CFB with just one loss, with a fairly new group, is way more than enough to be happy.

That's right. Bama or Joja will get bumped from the BCS. I think UF is plenty content to rest this Saturday (pretty beat-up right now) and take the other BCS bowl. Even though it would be very nice to play a cupcake like ND...as far as NCG cupcakes go.

Oklahoma v Florida would be a big money maker for everyone too.

Come to think of that some more, there are many millions at stake in the SEC CG this year. The loser is out of the BCS while the winner plays ND! The difference will probably be more than 10 million bucks!

and there we have it. thats why the BCS/rankings system is a joke. You get punished for winning your division because you play a extra game for the conf championship.

because BCS rule is the #3 team gets auto at large for BCS bowl. After SEC CG UF will be #3. And conferences can't send no more than 2 teams to bcs bowls.

honestly I think it is an alright rule considering if it wasn't there there the SEC would send about 6 teams to a BCS bowl.

And BCS pretty much did say screw you to Uconn as it took away the Big East auto bid. Thankfully.

SEC homers ... the only people in the world who can actually justify in their own mind a team reaching the MNC game when they can't win their own division and play in the conference championship ... though I will say that what Florida has done is impressive.
